  Hi Scarlet Wren ,  :HeartThrob:

I  do understand your   thoughts sis , not so far off  from mine !
I know the End is Christ and He is all in ALL
you are right it is without end , that  endless Life  the Spirtit and Truth is  conveyed that way

I can see that  transfer   from the age of  slave/ under the Law of sin  to the sonship  and age of grace  the Law of Liberty  has set  so many free in Christ Jesus
Paul still considered himself a  bondservant / slave  , not reaching the perfection / completion yet in the LOVE OF GOD that fullness may be what is lacking still or hidden that we dont understand yet ..
so I do know what you are saying sis
it seems this is not done  till the  Love of God is completly  manifested in us ,  that may be the End   that we are all  groaning for still
God bless ya  .. Rose  :girlheart:
Jesus is the reward  !!

Is there something called the "second" ressurection?

The only one spoken of in scripture is "the first", seems that to some this implies that there must be more than one, but I don't see that. There is ~A~ resurrection of both the just and the unjust. And Jesus Christ IS ~THE~ resurrection and ~THE~ life.

So we must, therefore, strive (as did Paul) to know the power of ~HIS~ resurrection. Is as I see it.

The plant never has any resemblence of the seed that was planted in the first place guys.  Kim . . . I love reading your stuff . .always have.  And I'll even admit, much of it does seem to go over my head, but I've learned to not depend on what I'm "getting" from you and others.  I think you have this same understanding as well.  What I get out of your posts goes over my head, but right into my heart and my head doesn't know why you cause this quickening . .but I do recognize the sound so I soak up everything you say because I do know . .for a fact . . .that your words are seeds of life and more than anything, I want to be a field that produces fruits of life.

To be honest, I love the fact that I don't "get" it all . . because that means that my mind "has" to be disengaged as you plant His life in me . . .my mind can't argue with you, nor can it interfere.  So it's a pure, unadulterated action.  I'm not worried about the understanding part.  Because as all seeds go, when yours takes root in me, understanding will be birthed once the seed comes to it's maturity in me.

A long winded way of saying . . .I LIKE YOUR STUFF!!!  I especially enjoyed your shower conversation . . that really did mess me up!!!

Is there something called the "second" ressurection?

(Rev. 20:4-13) Verse 4 speaks of those who have been killed for the witness of God and them reigning with Christ a thousand years.

In verse 5 it says "the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. THIS IS THE FIRST RESURRECTION".

If there was a first, then it stands to reason there is a second. Also, in (1Cor. 15:23) it speaks of more than one resurrection at least that is the way I understand it at this point. I have changed my mind many times, so nothing is concrete.

Rev.Verse 6 says "Blessed and Holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priest of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years".

I believe this is talking about the Jew's or those in the New Covenant. All those that are Christians up till John. The Jew's are the only ones who will be priests. The book of Revelation was to the Jew's {seven Churches} not Gentiles.

In verses 12 and 13 is a second group of people, still Israelites. If you notice in verse 12 it says "the dead were judged according to their works".  Has to be Israel.

If we are in Christ we have no works, it is Christ working in us. If we are dead in Christ, dead people don't work. When the Father looks at us he sees Christ. The Jew's, and those who keep laws are the ones who will be judged according to their works.

CHB

Ok I'll check into it, only because the wording can sometimes be catchy and sometimes helpful not adding to it actually squeezes us into what it might be saying. I gotta look though, I think I saw A resurrection for both, and yet HE is **THE** resurrection and taking part in the **FIRST** (resurrection) and the words (power of) **HIS** resurrection. So even though HE is the resurrection theres the power (operation of God) concerning Christ's own resurrection.

I goof in my wording, I just saw it in my last post concering two days verses as thousand years AS one day (twice TOLD) not twice IS  And no matter how much I repeat the words I will goof in my wording sometimes and that throws me off in comparing stuff elsewhere if I dont see the day SPLIT between night and day. Though G showed the split more precisely in fewer words I think.

Thanks  :HeartThrob:

Thought I was close enough to the end of the thread that it was safe to comment.  :laughing7:  Guess I should have kept reading so as not to repeat what ya already said.

Maybe this will help (its not by me) by my freind Chrissie, though I believe this is an older one it might be somewhat easier to see some of the connections, shes much better at comunicating stuff then I am.

...

Um, well, yep, that was OLD!! But I remember well the day I posted it at OGR.

I should go through all of that "old" stuff and see if any of it needs to be 'tweaked' or even changed because of more recent studies.

I just skimmed over that one and I don't think that anything has changed for me concerning it. If anything I think that, so far, all of the 'new' things that I have learned since then have supported that position. So I could probably add more "support" to it, though I would hate to make it even longer. Sheesh!! Perhaps I could find a way to shorten it first.

:cloud9: Amen. What I love about this scripture is the wording (as in all of it) order is important and not accidental.

Phillipians 3: 10-11 - That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;  11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.

Notice that Paul said he wants to know the power of the resurrection BEFORE he is made conformable unto his death, and before he has resurrected FROM the dead. That, almost sounds backwards to the carnal mindset, as how could one REALLY know the power of the resurrection before the fact?

The power of the resurrection is His love. Blessings....

Amen, the power by which we are born again and resurrected from the dead.

The argument is made that "the resurrection is not past" and Paul said that he HAD NOT yet attained unto it.

(1) The resurrection is NOT PAST... as Jesus Christ IS the resurrection and it is through HIM that we pass from death unto life.... each in our own order... AT HIS COMING/APPEARING (until then that LIFE is HID).

(2) Paul never said that he had not attained unto the resurrection of the dead, he said that he counted it not and tells us to walk by the same rule. I believe that this is why Paul uses both the "future tense" and the "past tense" when discussing these things. We are to strive FOR THEM, that we might enter into THAT DAY.... yet some have ALREADY "entered in", have already PASSED from death unto life.

But if ~we~ say that ~we~ are perfect.... we prove ourselves PERVERSE!!

We cannot bear witness of OURSELVES. God will bear witness of those who ARE HIS, those who KNOW HIM and it is by their fruits that they shall be know.... Christ being the FIRST-FRUITS of those WHO SLEPT.

The heart is resurrected first?

No wonder why we are to WATCH for His appearing.  :laughing7:

Sort of hard to WATCH when you're ASLEEP, aye??  :dontknow:

Hebrews 9:28
So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

Yes, so what is the meaning of his second appearance?

It is like when the high priest comes out from behind the veil on the day of atonement.  The congregation has been waiting and hoping for him to appear, listening to the bells behind the veil which tell them everything is still ok, and then the high priest comes out, and all is well, their sins are forgiven, the sacrifice has been accepted.

Is this the template for the second coming of Christ?

26And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.

27Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

28And Thomas answered and said unto him, My LORD and my God.

:cloud9: You know what's neat about Hebrews 9:28 is everyone's attention always seems to focus on the second appearing, but until He opens our eyes to it, we don't notice the second part of what was said. How does He appear without sin unto salvation?

This is what He showed me. He appears without the body OF sin, which is the flesh of man = appearing as Spirit (perhaps as glorified body as we will be like Him when He appears), unto or in the furtherance of our complete salvation. We are saved, we are being saved, and we will be saved, and I believe that this lines up with the culmination of the 3 main feasts which are typified in the tabernacle pattern also.

So, Molly, you hit on the day of atonement, which is also spiritually worked in and thru the Spirit in us, and is the last part of the feast of tabernacles, specifically the TENTH DAY (of the 7th month). The day of atonement is different in that Passover covered the sins, but the day of atonement REMOVED the sins, or the sin NATURE.

This is also when He hands over to the Father His kingdom, for the blood that goes in is His blood in the Spiritual counterpart, for flesh and natural blood cannot enter into the kingdom. Once that offering is accepted, the Father descends into the first two "courts", creating David's tabernacle pattern, ie. 2 instead of 3, Son is in the Father, Father is in the Son, we in Him, Him in us (with the Father), so truly without the Son ye cannot have the Father, nor the Father without the Son.

And the best part is, that's when the Father in the Son starts reconciling all men unto Himself, IN US. Saviours shall APPEAR on Mt. Zion. This is a hard one to bring out, and I hope I brought it out clear enough. Blessings....

Quote from: Cardinalyet when the scriptures speak if his coming "the second time" it says that he is coming "the second time" UNTO THEM THAT LOOK FOR HIM!!

OH BABY!!!!! I LOVE THAT TOO!!!

it's not about him manifesting in the natural, it's about us entering into the spiritual.  Without the body of sin . . .oh wow.  I think i'm gonna cry!!!  This is very strong stuff.

:cloud9: Yes it is. And what's more confirmation....

Zec 8:23 -  Thus saith the LORD of hosts; In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men (= 10 DAYS above, 1 day for each of the 10 men; 10 speaks of completion) shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.

Who is a Jew; even them that have had the circumcision of the heart, in this application, that Christ is "circumcised" (for Christ is the covering in this sense of God the Father, as God was IN Christ reconciling all men unto Himself) ie. delivered up His kingdom (that which produces life, His righteous or UPRIGHT member, His BLOOD) to the Father, that the FATHER HIMSELF might be SEEN, as in when you've seen me, you've seen the Father. Ready to shout with me yet? Blessings.... :HeartThrob:

Ah, so that through us the Word becomes an open book?  Just like David's open tent, all can look through us into the holy of holies and see Christ?  David, king, from the tribe of Judah, wears the priest's ephod, showing him as king and priest--the Melchizedek priesthood.

1So they brought the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it: and they offered burnt sacrifices and peace offerings before God.

2And when David had made an end of offering the burnt offerings and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD.

3And he dealt to every one of Israel, both man and woman, to every one a loaf of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine.

4And he appointed certain of the Levites to minister before the ark of the LORD, and to record, and to thank and praise the LORD God of Israel:

--1 Chron 16

13And it was so, that when they that bare the ark of the LORD had gone six paces, he sacrificed oxen and fatlings.

14And David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod.

15So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet.

16And as the ark of the LORD came into the city of David, Michal Saul's daughter looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart.

17And they brought in the ark of the LORD, and set it in his place, in the midst of the tabernacle that David had pitched for it: and David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the LORD.

18And as soon as David had made an end of offering burnt offerings and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD of hosts.

19And he dealt among all the people, even among the whole multitude of Israel, as well to the women as men, to every one a cake of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine. So all the people departed every one to his house.

20Then David returned to bless his household. And Michal the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and said, How glorious was the king of Israel to day, who uncovered himself to day in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovereth himself!

21And David said unto Michal, It was before the LORD, which chose me before thy father, and before all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the LORD, over Israel: therefore will I play before the LORD.

22And I will yet be more vile than thus, and will be base in mine own sight: and of the maidservants which thou hast spoken of, of them shall I be had in honour.

23Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no child unto the day of her death.

:cloud9: They've seen Christ in varying degrees for the last 2 days or 2000 years, in a many membered body. The end of this journey is that the FATHER will be seen in a many membered Christ this time, as He is represented in the Holy of Holies, with Christ. But first we go thru Christ, represented as the inner court realm. Mediator is as middle, middle of the tabernacle is the inner court. Blessings.....
