And just to show how it is easy to make conjectures and "coincidences" about famous people, I have randomly selected Jack Nicklaus the golfer to (hopefully humorously) demonstrate why he could easily be made out to be an "end times villain":

1 - Jack is derived from 'Jacob', meaning supplanter. Jack Nicklaus is going to supplant the truth with his diabolical web of deception, and supplant the kings of the earth with his throne.
2 - Nicklaus sounds similar to 'Nicolaitan'. This proves Jack Nicklaus holds to that doctrine.
3 - Jack Nicklaus is from Columbus, Ohio, which is named after the explorer who established a new world. This is a metaphor for the one world government Jack Nicklaus will establish.
4 - There are 12 letters in 'Jack Nicklaus' which shows he will exert power over the twelve tribes of Israel.
5 - Jack Nicklaus won 18 majors, which is 6 + 6 + 6. I just got chills.
6 - To 'nick' in English slang, is to steal, and also to arrest someone, showing the crafty and criminal nature of Jack Nicklaus.
7 - Jack Nicklaus always wore yellow on a championship Sunday. This was a reference to the gold head of the statue in Nebuchadnezzar's vision.
8 - He was born in Upper Arlington, Ohio, which shares the name with a famous cemetery, showing he is the bringer of death.
9 - His famous book was called 'Golf My Way' showing he walked in his own way, and not a spiritual path.
10 - He was famous for playing Golf, which shares a name with a car made by Volkswagen, who came to the fore in Nazi Germany.

Does anyone still doubt Jack Nicklaus is not all he seems?

Dear Shev, this may have a humorous aspect but it would be, in my opinion, an excellent example of what could be part of a syllabus in religious studies in schools as to what the human mind can achieve when it wants to.

I think most like a good riddle too.. I know I do.. biblical ones anyway.. biblically speaking, fire brought upon earth is an intriguing clue.. and really about the only one.. since the theory of evolution declares all men to 'be god'.. (um, talk about imaginative!.. fish to man, whale to cow.. squirrel to bird..)

Thank you lastpost. I find confirmation bias a fascinating subject, as it is so hard to be free from. If we want something to be true, we have minds that can sift through the facts and choose those that suit our hypothesis, discarding those that are inconvenient. I find that this happens especially frequently in end time date setting - where all manner of mathematical feats are accomplished to prove that such and such is the date we should be focused upon - and also in "anti-Christ identification". Oh, and numerology also, where words and dates will be parsed, piecemealed and scotch taped back together to somehow add up to 13, or some other significant number.

The only reliable truth is in the person of Jesus Christ, and all that the Father has revealed through Him. The more things drift away from that focus, the more treacherous the ground becomes.

Yes Marie! I feel as though it takes more "faith" (in a manner of speaking) to believe that we all came from primordial sludge and evolved to our present state, than to believe the actual truth of an invisible God!

 :thumbsup: :thumbsup: the theory scoffs at the resurrection.. virgin birth.. etc.. but believe "in the beginning there was nothing, it exploded and became everything" not realizing what an immaculate conception thAt would be! Taught as fact, but full of holes.. Many think it's somehow been proven to be true.. but all it is, is conjecture built upon conjecture.. no foundation.. "peer" pressure is what it mostly is! Can't get your papers published otherwise.. Grants denied, etc.. the 'god' of the theory is time.. but top mathematicians say, no way.. No odds of it happening no matter how much 'time'... Carbon dating can only date to about 5000 years is what I've read also (if I'm remembering right)..
