Ive watched this post grow...Okay Im either engufed in what you say or Ive been a complete idiot for spending time looking into this post.
Let it be known that I am in no way accepting the teaching, spending time looking into it , what ever Doomsday. is.  Now  we are talking about the Mayan calender, correct? -

It began as a discussion of the Mayan prediction, and has grown to include many various thoughts people present about "end times" and how we feel about much of that AND the things we see going on in the world around us - what they may mean, how we feel about them, etc.   I understand your fascination with the thread;  even if one doesn't buy into much of the doomsday scenarios, there's still a lot going on, and IMO, it makes one wonder "what's up"..

My personal opinion is, we will (perhaps very soon) enter into the next age, when Jesus ushers in the age of His glory covering the whole earth.  I personally wonder what may occur as a catalyst to those events, as I both see many things happening (travail, as with child) and I believe each new age has been brought about accompanied by much upheaval and cataclysm.

ET'ers/mainstream folks tend to see that as "rapture" coming, end of the world, etc.    I see it as "the next big move of God", a huge next step toward God becoming All in All - I just don't know (and am fascinated with) what might be the process.   :2c:

 :cloud9: I just read a little bit online about this 89 year old Camping that started this, it just boggles my mind that anyone would support such a "ministry" to the tune of millions and millions of dollars, much less pack up their families and drive 3000 to his ministry, leaving jobs, homes, ect. behind, to be "first in line" for the "rapture"!

It's a doctrine whose roots are fear and selfishness. How this must sadden the Lord.  :sigh:  :2c:

Maybe I should have written about this earlier and warned etc but I didn't think anyone took it seriously, but about Harold camping's previous prediction failed to come to pass in 1994. He said there was a mistake in the mathematics.


But I thought I'd mention this scripture which says

3 Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. 4 They will say, "Where is this 'coming' he promised? This suggests that phenomana such as 2012 will come to pass and people will say "where is he"?


After looking at various prophecies and visions by people etc I predict the end will be around 2060-2150 possibly later.
I am not looking at dates as such but the conditions of the end times and the level of technology that mankind will possess.
Since the current conditions are nothing like Noahs time, then I safely conclude that the end times is far from near in terms of our expectations.
