Hi Guys , wasnt with it much yesterday, but great posts..much to ponder

1Cr 15:32 If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die.

:icon_flower:

 Hey G great verse.

G you recall Nebby, when He got proud it speaks of him being driven from the sons of men and given the heart of a beast. Why didnt it just say he remained a beast/man? This is what Im trying to figure out. Why is "after the manner of men" distinct from beasts in the fight he fought too?

Do I make sense in my question or no?

Thats a good question, But ultimately I see he has a Change of Heart, realising what Power he Had Came from above and not him.

Not sure what ya saing in the second part tho, but for mine ...the manner  of men is the Flesh or carnalmindedness , Dead to Understanding
again not sure what ya saying :icon_flower:
Hi Bro G , what do you make of this , Kim is reffering to this  verse
I also  am  wondering bro ?

Dan 4:16 Let his heart be changed from man's, and let a beast's heart be given unto him; and let seven times pass over him.

the  question is why  a mans heart  and changed to a beasts heart ?
not a  beasts heart to a  mans heart ?
  seems  odd  that change?  :dontknow:

I am so glad you explained sis !
I thought of David !  and how he   told it

a mans heart only understands his own ways
and  this humbling  has to do with  being beastly before God  :mshock:

King Neb had the dreams  and made an Image  to worship , but  was not anythingof  the True God
As a dream when [one] awaketh; [so], O Lord, when thou awakest, thou shalt despise their image.

:cloud9: Good morning guys.....my  :2c:. Nebuchadnezzar was not given the mind of a beast, because he already had one, as do we all. He was turned over to the fullness of it, to bring repentance, as have we all been, until SEVEN times (time = 1 thousand year day) has passed over him. It's repeating the pattern again, of God raising up the fullness of the iniquity in man, until He is ready to cut it off.

Christ, the 7th day (no part darkness) was brought to cut it off before, and as He is now raising up a firstfruits (sons of God) of His, the darkness is growing darker as the iniquity is growing full as well (wheat and tares raised up together again). We are in the dawning of that day again in pattern, and about to have our understanding return to us (mind of Christ) also.

Here is the text....

Daniel 4:31 While the word was in the king's mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, saying, O king Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is spoken; The kingdom is departed from thee. 32 And they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field: they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and seven times shall pass over thee, until thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will. 33 The same hour was the thing fulfilled upon Nebuchadnezzar: and he was driven from men, and did eat grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles' feathers, and his nails like birds' claws.

34 And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation:

:cloud9: Like Nebuchadnezzar, we have all been forced by men to "eat" of the firstfruits of things that came out of the bloodless offering of the things of the ground (instead of eating of THE Firstfruit which is not of the ground but of the Spirit/heaven), eating as the beasts of burden we have been, carrying the yoke of the carnal beastly mind.

We have been wet with the dew of heaven (no spirit of Christ as our covering), till our realm of revealed glory was no higher than the fowls of the air, and our grasp was not that of the hand of God that heals and makes whole and administers the oil, but could only tear and rend the flesh with the blood still in it. Blessings....

I dont think I explained nothing sis   Im still questioning it

Ok lets use your example, but lets change that to for who knows the thoughts of man but the spirit of a man?

For man and beast have one breath but I see that pertaining to the breath that physically sustains the body I would think because the BODY of both men and beast would be dead without that one breath theres no such preeminence one has over the other in that regard.

Yet the heart Nebby had in the beginning must be differentiated from the one he received (the heart of a beast) if it were so that he was driven from the sons of men (who supposedly have that very same heart) see what I mean? Is there a difference between reasoning with a man verses reasoning with a beast?

I do see what you mean  sis ,
the only  thing i can see is  that in  verse 12  , the being driven  away from   sons of men
was  because of the strong infulence   King Neb had on them  , when given the mind/heart of a beast  He king Neb  would not so easily have that influence and power over them ?  it was food for all flesh was the give away  for me , you can understand a man with  reason , but not a beast ,  they seem some how  wild and crazy lol.....for a time  , till the restores their reasoning  bearings ,[ like legion ? ] in his right mind , that invoked fear though . maybe they should all fear the Lord than huh.

one man to ruin  so many  men   just a thought ..10 "These were the visions of my head while on my bed:

     I was looking, and behold,
A tree in the midst of the earth,
     And its height was great.
      11 The tree grew and became strong;
Its height reached to the heavens,
And it could be seen to the ends of all the earth.
      12 Its leaves were lovely,
     Its fruit abundant,
And in it was food for all.
The beasts of the field found shade under it,
The birds of the heavens dwelt in its branches,
And all flesh was fed from it.

Card says the mind of man is the mind of the beast--man already has the mind of the beast.

Daniel 2 shows us the figure of a horrible man--he has the mind of Babylon, the head of gold, the kingdom of Neb.

The beast is a kingdom of man, not of God.

Daniel 7:23
Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.

These four beasts of Revelation are four kingdoms.  We are in the fourth kingdom now--it never went away--Rome--with the feet of iron and clay.

I am reading this literally.  God has allowed these beasts as he allows the wheat and the tares to grow up together.  Are they not revealing themselves clearly to all in these last days?

But we are not of this world, that we would take the mark of the beast on our minds and hands.  We are to take the mark of God [his Spirit, his Commandments] on our foreheads (thoughts) and hands (works).

It couldn't be any simpler, really.

I get that but how does Rev 13:16 work?

And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads

And how does it pertain to this?

And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Im still not getting the buying and selling even though Im aware we should buy the truth and sell it not and all that.

I was looking at it as the natural man and the spiritual man but I cant put all the other pieces together to make it work
:icon_flower:
Hi sis, I kinds see it like this

Buy the TRUTH ,SELL IT NOT.

only the FLESH can buy and sell THEIR merchandise(LIES), UNTIL they TOO ,buy TRUTH and SELL IT NOT.

That was put much better, I can hear that G thanks for the contrast I needed a two way deal there

What about life to the image you know?

Rev 13:15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

Like I see these throughout script in their types but I cannot connect them yet
WELL Ya not alone for sure, but its always Flesh v Spirit ,..which connects with the First Adam, Carnality, law ,its how these all fit..Moving from death to life...maybe Rosey or Card or others have an Input :icon_flower:

He causes the whole world to take the mark in their right hand OR in their foreheads--

So the whole world is either deceived by the beast [kingdom of Man] or working for him.  This mark is a badge of servitude, or, in other words, the beast is literally enslaving the whole world--doesn't matter if you're rich or poor, bond or free.

Buy the truth but don't sell it--Who do we 'buy' it from? Christ.

Molly

Only if we present ourselves as living sacrifices to the Lord are we not serving the beast--

Here I am, O God, I have come to do thy will.

It is only the works and thoughts of the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Christ, that are true, that set us free from the beast, that are acceptable to the Lord.

But--he says, count the cost.

Right now, until the coming of the Ancient of Days and judgment is given [Dan 7], this world is the domain of the beast.

He did.  He keeps saying it over and over and over again lol.

But, man, for some reason, doesn't want to hear it.  Man wants to worship and serve himself.

After John got what he receieved John fell down and worshipped the angel, it doesn't always have to be self.

Yeah.  It's easy to be deceived.  But, the angel quickly corrects him.  We are able to repent, thank God.

Maybe that's why we are to seek wisdom.

5Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.

6Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.

7Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

8Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.

9She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.

Yeah there might be a few angels who actually want to be worshipped, good for that angel. I actually love the fact the even the angels are desirous to look into certain things, that angels arent know it alls. That even they like us dont know everything. I'm glad thats in there so folks cant pretend to be angels wo think they do
Angels are just servants who minister to those who shall be heirs of salvation.

I like the way the greek puts it--

"minister"
G1248
διακονία
diakonia
dee-ak-on-ee'-ah
From G1249; attendance (as a servant, etc.); figuratively (eleemosynary) aid, (official) service (especially of the Christian teacher, or technically of the diaconate): - (ad-) minister (-ing, -tration, -try), office, relief, service (-ing).

G1249
διάκονος
diakonos
dee-ak'-on-os

Probably from διάκω diakō (obsolete, to run on errands; compare G1377); an attendant, that is, (generally) a waiter (at table or in other menial duties); specifically a Christian teacher and pastor (technically a deacon or deaconess): - deacon, minister, servant.

John was in the Spirit when he fell down to worship that angel... to most that would be a pretty carnal thing to do   Afterall they were preaching "Christ is the wisdom of God"

Goes to show when ya think ya know, in practice (even in the Spirit) you can worship the wrong thing
John is just a fellow angel to the angel, as he is told.

His is the spirit of prophecy--

Still pointing--to the real thing--

Revelation 13:18
Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is ["arithmos anthrōpos"] and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

666 is 'arithmos anthrōpos'

that is 'man's number.'

If we worship 666, we are worshipping a man.

If we worship 666, we are worshipping a beast.

If we have the thoughts or do the works of 666 we are serving man, not God.

Was Jesus just a man or was he the Son of God?

22Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
--1 John 2

If Jesus is just a man, then we are worshipping a man.  But scripture says of him,

Hebrews 1:6
And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.

And, again--

Acts 4:12
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

What, then, is beyond 666?  The number six repeated three times is 'arithmos anthrōpos.'  Is that the fullness of Man?  That's as good as it gets as a man--the number of a beast.

But, the Lord Jesus, the last man, has ushered in a new day, the 7th day, the Sabbath.

Genesis 7:11
In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.

26And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,
27To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.

28And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.

29And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.

30And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.

31And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.

32He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:

33And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

:cloud9: Yes and Amen, you guys.....

As pertaining to angels......John was just reacting in the nature of the heart of man, since the wheat (Word he got) and the tares (his reaction) are raised up together.

The inclination in all of us that has to be dealt with at the root (lust of the eyes), is to look to the flesh that's visible, either to worship it ("good" part of the tree) or to use it to reject the message (evil part of the tree), as opposed to only focusing on the Spirit/tree of life that brought the message, and obedience to Him. Good thing He keeps chipping away at it, until all we see is Him, Amen?

He still has me on this and I wanted to add something to these, He dropped in my Spirit this morning.

Lust of the eyes = Eve desired it because it looked pleasant to her and to make her wise. This is the opposite of God's will, ie. imposing her will against the Spirit of God = spiritual rape. Because we are judged by the measure we mete out, this is what she reaped from Satan.

Lust of the flesh = she gave it unto her husband, which was not love, but hate, and hate and murder being the same sin, she murdered him spiritually by giving it to him. No wonder unto to whom much is given, much is expected; we are accountable for every idle (word there means unemployed, ie. not used by the Spirit of God) word spoken. So, once again, because we are judged by the measure we mete out, murder was reaped from Satan.

The things of God are holy and in the inner court realm of the priesthood right now, He is pressing us as olive oil is pressed to bring forth two fresh hins of oil. Blessings....

Fiat paper money
yeah lol as represented by your bank account number, your credit card number, and your soc sec number.

You have to earn it by the sweat of your brow.

And the money has the picture of a man on it, as it did in Jesus' day.

But, how does God's economy work?

16So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

17Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

PS it's free--

"to buy"

G59
ἀγοράζω
agorazō
ag-or-ad'-zo
From G58; properly to go to market, that is, (by implication) to purchase; specifically to redeem: - buy, redeem.

Molly

Why don't you look at all the redeemed verses, including the whole book of Ruth.

He's already redeemed us from this world of buying and selling by the sweat of our brow.

All we have to do is cash the check with his name on it.

And, give it away freely, as we were given it.
