I am very suprise no one ever talk about 666......

if you guy claim that God want "all" to be saved or "I will draw all to me" then why it said "whoever have the mark of the beast are going to hell with the devil and the false prophet"

so....any ideas?

YoungYuni

Hiya,

The beast is the mind set on the things of man, and the false prophet is the religion that comes out of it.

Whatever the mark is and however creative the interpretations are that you wind up hearing about, it's torments are limited to the ages of ages according to Revelation 14:11 and Andrew Jukes has this note on the ages language of Scripture in his book "Restitution of all things":

Every scholar knows that the expressions, "ages," "to the ages," "age of the ages," and "ages of the ages," are unlike anything which occurs in the heathen Greek writers. The reason is, that the inspired writers, and they alone, understood the mystery and purpose of the "ages." They, or at least the Spirit which spake by them, saw that there would be a succession of "ages," a certain number of which constituted another greater "age." It seems to me that when they simply intended a duration of many "ages," they wrote "to the ages." When they had in view a greater and more comprehensive "age," including in it many other subordinate "ages," they wrote "to the age of ages." When they intended the longer "age" alone, without regard to its constituent parts, they wrote "to an aeonial age"; this form of expression being a Hebraism, exactly equivalent to "age of the ages:" like "liberty of glory," for "glorious liberty," (Rom. viii. 21,) and "body of our vileness," for "our vile body." (Phil. iii. 21.) When they intended the several comprehensive "ages" collectively, they wrote "to the ages of ages." Each varying form is used with a distinct purpose and meaning.

Time limited...hell's a mistranslation...God's punishments are corrective and culminate in His becoming all in all

I Corinthians 15:20  But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep.

21For since by a man came death, by a man also came the resurrection of the dead.

22For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.

23But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, after that those who are Christ's at His coming,

24then comes the end, when He hands over the kingdom to the God and Father, when He has abolished all rule and all authority and power.

25For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet.

26The last enemy that will be abolished is death.

27For HE HAS PUT ALL THINGS IN SUBJECTION UNDER HIS FEET But when He says, "All things are put in subjection," it is evident that He is excepted who put all things in subjection to Him.

28When all things are subjected to Him, then the Son Himself also will be subjected to the One who subjected all things to Him, so that God may be all in all.

I'm waiting to see someone with a Bar Code across their forehead and the right scanning equipment to let me know he's the beast.

To say that it's just a mentality doesn't work for me 'cause if it's a mentality, then it's evidently already "in Hell."  That being the case, then how could it go to Hell in a special way in a sense that it's not already in Hell when Revelation 14 says that those that receive that mark are going to burn for it?  That's separate and distinct from any sense in which a mental state would already be burning in it's own corrupt juices.  I've heard some say that the idea behind torment in that chapter is touch stoning.  That's only helpful from our perspective and to our perspective.  To it's recipients it's unquestionably torment, whatever higher purpose is buried in the Greek, in better translations, and in the mind of the Spirit.  If you were in that touch stoning right now, there's no question mark on the fact that you'd be wailing like a child; totally bellowing.  But since the implication of Revelation is the Lake of Fire for those that receive this mark, and it's the removal of one's name from the Lamb's book of life, and since the Lake of Fire is the second death, then the laws of 1Corinthians 15 apply about death being the last enemy is to be abolished, because what's mortal must put on immortality and what's corruptible must put on incorruption so that the saying is brought to pass that's written death is swallowed up in victory, "Where, Death, is your sting? Where, Hell, is your victory??"  As in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive, but each in His own order...then comes "the completion" when He delivers up all to the Father.

OK, I've seen a lot of reasons why we believe it's something else . . .but "why" do I believe the mark is not what traditions say it is?  For me, Scripture plainly states what the mark is . . .

Revelation 13
18Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

I've stated this before . . . Revelation was never intended to be given to just any Joe Blow that decided to thumb through the book . . .it was originally intended for a bondservant . . . one who went through hell on earth . .and in the end, they chose to remain a servant to the Father . . .only not out of debt, but out of love . .that's what a bondservant is.  The reason this is important, is because through that intimate relationship, understanding and wisdom flow.  That's why John wrote deliberately "here is wisdom, let him that hath understanding . . ."  It's not a literal application . . .it's a spiritual one.

It states plainly . . . the mark of the beast is NOT a creature come to wreak havoc and bring a slaughter to the saints all over again.  It's the mark of man . .it is a SYMBOL of the NATURE of man.  The fact that it's on man's forehead is speaking to the MIND.  I've shared this and will continue to share this . . .my mind is my worst enemy.  My mind is the antichrist.  My mind is at emnity against God . .it's at war with God.  It doesn't have the capacity to understand True Godly things.  It has images of godly things . . but it can't comprehend God's nature . .He's just to infinite.

The mark on the wrists . . deal with . .IMO . .works.  The carnal minded man is a laboring mind, works based mentality.  It's a revelation of Jesus Christ and his relationship with man . .how he redeems man from his carnal prison and gives him life and freedom in Truth and Life . . .Revelation is a hymn book . . .not a death sentence.

That's just it . . .what I think is last, is first in God's realm.  What I think is least, is greatest.  In other words . . .as long as I walk according to my natural reasoning, my conclusions are literally going to be backwards to what reality in the kingdom really is.  So if we look at Revelation as fear and death . . .that is an indication that we're reading it wrong.  It's a book of life and light . . .and until man can read it in that perspective, there will be no revelation of Christ to him at all.

Goliath had the mark of man all over him . . .6 fingers, 6 toes, he spear was 6 cubics . . .he wore brass . . .which is judgment . . .God's alphabet is colors, numbers and elements . .not letters and words.  He uses natural things to illuminate his true nature.  When we learn the language, we'll see His truth.  But learning will only come by way of relationship in the spirit . .not by knowledge from flesh and blood.

I heard them all Im not convinced but given if we are a hearer only and not a doer I see it sometimes having victory over our own image = God lets men see they are no different from the beasts   The right hand of fellowship (and fathers name written upon them) verses mark them who cause divisions and have no fellowship with the deeds of darkness even as Cain verses gaining victory over our own faces (image of the beast). Missing the mark verses aiming for the mark of the high call and bying the truth and selling it not but I'm not certain on things. Not denying the obvious spiritually speaking but can see how the other can be arrived at, I can reason as a man

  That is well put
I know that the Lord told  the  scribes pharriesses and hypocrites , That they could discern the face of the sky ,  but not the times  :mshock: :mblush:
Ye] hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky and of the earth; but how is it that ye do not discern this time?

Luk 12:57 Yea, and why even of yourselves judge ye not what is right?

the face of the sky  , they could

It states plainly . . . the mark of the beast is NOT a creature come to wreak havoc and bring a slaughter to the saints all over again.
Really?  It plainly says otherwise to me:

7 And to it was given to do battle with the saints and to conquer them. And authority was given to it over every tribe and people and language and nation.
8 And all who are dwelling on the earth will be worshiping it, everyone whose name is not written in the scroll of life of the Lambkin slain from the disruption of the world.
9 If anyone has an ear, let him hear. (Revelation 13:7-9)

On a spirtual note, however, it's looking like having one's name written in the Lamb's book of life is related to whether or not you're daily standing on the 91st Psalm, Isaiah 54, and the other protective promises of the Word; whether or not you're daily rejoicing in the Lord for that being one of His benefits, as Psalm 103 would put it.  I've counted 5 references so far regarding people whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life in relation to being delivered from temporal calamities.  Luke 10:19 says nothing will hurt you -- one of the more famous authority passages regarding serpents and scorpions -- and verse 20 says to rejoice that your names are written in heaven.  I could demonstrate from Philippians where St. Paul expected nothing to be able to harm him, bodily, without his permission, and then chapter 4 says his name's written in the Lamb's book of life.  One of the letters to the Churches in Revelation, your name won't get erased and you won't be hurt by the second death.  Then this in chapter 13 that I've quoted above that if your name's not written in the book, you're prevailed against and conquered by the beast and your torment will ascend to the ages of ages according to the following chapter.  Chapter 20 of Revelation, if the name's not in the book, then you'll be in the 2Peter 3 conflagration if you're on the earth at that time.

Revelation 3:5 connects having one's name written in the Lamb's Book of Life with the High Priestly ministry of Jesus in the book of Hebrews where He stands watch over the words of our mouths to bring them to pass.  So, having one's name in the book is about having a working understanding with Jesus's ongoing present day ministry and being a partaker of His grace and mercy from the throne of grace with boldness, and only with boldness as Hebrews 4:16 would indicate, so that we enter into that rest as He brings our words to pass as we follow Him wherever He goes, as Revelation 7 says.  I'm really surprised that I'd never connected the Lamb's Book of Life before with the Covenant of His High Priesthood, even as one who regularly practices the petition form of prayer with having those Scriptures with me everywhere that I go that I'm standing on at the time signed and dated of when I believe I received when I prayed according to Mark 11:24 and countless other passages.  I'm astonished that I'd never seen that before that the book of life has the names of those that realize that His promises aren't yes and no.  No one who regards His promises as yes and no has any part with Him in His High Priestly ministry.  Duh!  That just completely clarified for me.

The wisdom of the 666 situation, according to Revelation 13 is that one's name is removed from the book of life the moment they enter into the deceitfulness of riches in thinking that they have to add to themselves through the buying, selling, or holding a job when we're supposed to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and have all of these things added to us, being rich in good works ready to give and distribute laying a good foundation for the time to come when we need to lay hold on that eonian life to meet each of the needs of this life.  The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ IS that He that was rich became poor that we through His poverty on the Cross would be made rich, according to 2Corinthians 8:9.  Our needs are met by our giving and our holding fast to our confession of faith without wavering, knowing that He's faithful that promised to confess our names before the Father and His angels to see to it that our every need is abundantly met according to His riches in glory through His High Priestly ministry.  We can do all things through that High Priestly ministry of His that strengthens us 'cause His High Priestly ministry is His Present Day reality through which He dispenses the grace, or sufficiency of God.  The 666 point is the point where we sever ourselves from the grace and faith of His righteousness, going about to establish our own righteousness and not submitting ourselves to the righteousness of God.  Anything that's in our lives that's not a matter of our sowing and reaping and our every single word coming to pass through His High Priestly ministry has 666 all over it.  And it's going to burn in the 1Corinthians 5 flames and we're not even going to get credit for it, even if we gave our bodies to be burned for it, according to 1Corinthians 13.  But if we did it outside of the living realities of faith, expectancy, and love, then it was just a bunch of noise rather than an odor of a sweet savour to Him, a sacrifice acceptable, well pleasing to God.

Paul Hazelwood

Ec 3:18 I said in my heart: It is on account of the sons of humanity That the One, Elohim, seeks to manifest them And to show them that they themselves are beasts.

Ec 3:19 For the destiny of the sons of humanity And the destiny of the beast, It is one destiny for them; As death is for this one, so is death for that one, And one spirit is for all; There is no advantage for the human over the beast, For the whole is vanity.

There is debate over whether Rev 13:18 means "a man" or "mankind" however,  I think the search for the singular beast is a deception as I do not know anyone yet who hasn't at some point wondered "who" the beast is.

I think it could easily be said the whole world is deceived as the bible says satan will.  the bible does not say the whole world is decieved at the same time or over the same thing.

To me, we are the beast.   Mankind has brought untold evils upon one another since it began,  what more do we have to fear from just "one"?

As we try to see the "bad" beast as we try to decifer who it could be,  Why George Bush SR, possibly because he said one world order, OH NOEZ.

Why it certainly couldn't be us could it?

;)

You also have to think that the majority of thought over the beast comes from Christendom and the DOOM of HELL forever.

something to ponder

No, really .  . . are you reading verse 9 there?  Or just skipping over it . . .it's all symbolizing something else . . .if it was to be taken literal, then why does the author keep deliberately telling the reader to listen?  It's a spiritual picture and yes, there is definitely a warring . . .it's the enmity between my carnality and the spirit . . .how many threads have we seen warring going on just on this forum?

It's not as evil and wicked as people portray it to be . .it just is what it is.  Man is of the fallen state and when walking according to reasoning, sees everything from a fallen perspective . .but . . .the spirit of life is in you with the authority over carnal reasoning . . .we just have to exercise that authority.

Yeah I think you guys are on the right track.

Who is referred to as a beast in scriptures?  As Paul pointed out:
Ec 3:18 I said in my heart: It is on account of the sons of humanity That the One, Elohim, seeks to manifest them And to show them that they themselves are beasts.

What about when the beast sits in the temple of God?  What is the temple of God?:
2 Cor 16 .. For we are the temple of the living God...

2 Thes 2:3 Don't let anyone deceive you in any way, for (that day will not come) until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness[a] is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. 4He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God's temple, proclaiming himself to be God.

We sit in the "temple of God" (our own body) when we believe that we are in control and God is not.  We exalt ourselves as if we were a god and worship ourself instead of God.

There is no one grand "the antichrist" (singular).  Scripture always refers to it as "antichrist".

666 is the number of the beast and is the number of man (ie. mankind, not a single man).  We are the beast.  We are the man of lawlessness.  We are the spirit of antichrist.  That is, until we overcome our sinful nature.

Babylon is the harlot and represents the world's false church systems.

The mark is (signified) to be in the right hand (signifying works of Babylon) or in the forehead (signifying thoughts and teachings of Babylon).  We are commanded to "Come out of her" in Rev 18:4 (ie. Come out of Babylon).

Only those with the mark can buy and sell.  Buy and sell what?  Buying and selling indicates trade or trading.  We cannot trade the truth with Babylon - they will not allow it unless we have the mark.  Anyone tried to share the truth of UR with someone in Babylon?  You won't get very far and will be thrown out of the church if you press.  The only hope of sharing UR is if those you share it with come out of Babylon themselves.  No one with the mark will believe the truth because they believe their own "truths" of Babylon.  As you can see, if we don't take the mark, we can't buy and sell with them.

Those who never give up the mark are stuck in Babylon and will eventually go into the Lake of Fire with the unbelievers.  (luckily its not forever)

JMHO but this makes the most sense over any "one-world government/one-world currency/left behind" scenario that I've read.

Read L. Ray Smith's Lake of Fire series on bible-truths.com for a very in-depth study of this.

SHORT in STATURE maybe

Mat 6:27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

Luk 19:2 And, behold, [there was] a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich.

Luk 19:3 And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature.

Luk 19:4 And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that [way].

Luk 19:5 And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house.

Luk 19:6 And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully.

Luk 19:7 And when they saw [it], they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner.

Luk 19:8 And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore [him] fourfold.

Luk 19:9 And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.

:icon_flower:

Luk 19:10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

2Ch 9:13 Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred and threescore and six talents of gold;   :icon_flower:

:cloud9: Yep, God had her bring the materials for the golden ephod and the holy incense but without the wisdom that he had to compound it and apply it to that which is holy, it couldn't do her any good. But when she saw the wisdom, there was no more breath left in her (ie. she gave up the "ghost"/died to self). Wisdom, is the principal thing.

And so will those in the outer court when He has finished the work in the saviours that will arise on Mt. Zion. Blessings.....

SHORT in STATURE maybe
Mat 6:27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

:cloud9: Yes, that's good, never connected that part with it, but that would also apply nicely. Thanks! Blessings....

QuoteWisdom, is the principal thing.

Purchasing TRUE wisdom with the PRICE of carnality :sigh:

. 1Cr 1:24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

1Cr 2:5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

1Cr 2:6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:

1Cr 2:7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, [even] the hidden [wisdom], which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

Couple more references to buying & selling:

Matthew 21:12 Jesus entered the temple area and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves.

Proverbs 23:23 Buy the truth and do not sell it;
       get wisdom, discipline and understanding.

Matthew 21:12 is most likely speaking of literal buying & selling in the temple, but it probably also has spiritual meaning.  Prov 23:23 speaks of buying and selling the truth.  Who is it that buy & sell the truth in the temples of Babylon?  Those who have the mark of the beast.  Without the mark you cannot buy or sell the truth with Babylon.  Also note it says to "not sell" the truth... I'm not quite sure the significance of that - perhaps we can't sell it because we don't have the mark, or because they won't accept it?
