In Hebrew 12:3, we have the Aramaic witness, which contains beautiful poetry, in a segment of four lines. I highlighted in red the poetic parts, how it would sound when read. Simply beautiful.
חזו הכיל כמא סיבל מן חטיא הנון
khzaw hakil kma saybar min khatayeh hanun
Consider, therefore, how much he suffered from those sinners,
דהנון הוו סקובלא לנפשהון
d'hanun hawu saqubleh l'naphshayhun
for they were adversaries to their own souls,
דלא תמאן לכון
d'la teman l'khun
so that you not become weary,
ולא תתרפא נפשכון
w'la tethrapa naphshkhun
nor your souls become weakened

The whole Bible really is a literary wonder. Being a poet, and knowing the difficulties of writing verse with meaning, rhyme, meter, and assorted word play, I just marvel at the Master, Who does all that PLUS mathematical coding (on multiple levels), PLUS prophecy, PLUS moral instruction, PLUS deep symbolism, PLUS a stated plan to save us all. :declare:

Jesus Offers Rest to People
