Shed some light on Titus 2:15

I was wondering if anyone has any proper understanding of the GK into:- Titus 2:15?

It appears to read (in the GK) that the word: 'periphroneo' (G4065) means both: 'let' AND: 'despise'... However that's two completely different meanings entirely...

"Let (periphroneo) nobody despise (periphroneo) you".

Or...

"periphroneo nobody periphroneo you".

So if periphroneo means: 'let', this passage would read: "Let nobody let you". 
If periphroneo means despise, this passage would read: "Despise nobody despise you".

Jonathan Mitchells' translation reads:-
"Let no one surround you with his intellect, mind-set, opinion or attitude (don't let anyone frame your way of thinking)".
...Yet how Jonathan is coming up with all that from one word is beyond me, (however I am ignorant in such matters and certain he could provide a satisfying answer).

(I have contacted Jonathan regarding this matter and am hoping for a response which I will share here if appropriate (and if he would permit me).

Other sources I have found say:

Greetings.  I like your email address.  Below is an excerpt from my first NT commentary, published in 2012, Peter, Paul & Jacob, p 212.  On our website, you can download a free copy, in PDF - along w/my other commentaries, printed since then.  This commentary covers brief observations on 1 Pet., Phil., Col., 1 Thes., 2 Thes., 1 Tim., 2 Tim., Titus and Jacob (James).  I trust that my explanation, in the last paragraph, will answer your question.  Feel free to contact me at any time, if you have other questions.

In my translation, I often translate Greek words from the elements of the words, as in the case of Tit. 2:15 - as you will see.  My training in linguistics taught me to translate by using the grammar of the source language, plus the meanings of the morphemes (the smallest unit of meaning).  Following this methodology, there have been times where I have departed from the common lexicons.

In this verse, the verb is in the imperative mood.  A common way of indicating this is to use the English word, "let."  The verb does not have the meaning of "let," let is just used to indicate that Paul was telling Titus not to do this, as in the parenthetical paraphrase on offer at the end of the verse.

15.  Be constantly speaking these things, and habitually performing as a paraclete (calling folks alongside to support, give relief and encourage them), even be continuously putting [folks; situations] to the proof so as to convince by demonstration ? or to refute by exposure of the test ? with every complete disposition and full arrangement (precise placing in aligned order; or: injunction).

Let no one surround you with his intellect, mind-set, opinion or attitude (= don?t let anyone frame your way of thinking).

So, Titus is to constantly tell this to people, and to habitually perform as a paraclete (Paul keeps saying this), while at the same time continuing to put folks and situations to the proof in a demonstrable way.  Or, he is to refute by exposure to the test of their spirits (1 John 4:1), or of their alignment to the Message.  He is to do these things "with every complete disposition and full arrangement (or: precise placing in aligned order)."  Paul does not give details of this, but it seems that he means to do a complete job of it.

His next warning is about not letting anyone surround him with their intellect, their personal mind-set, their opinion, or, their attitude.  This is a good word picture which he has drawn.  Folks can try to overpower you with themselves in this way.  The verb is peri-phronew.  Phronew means to be in a frame of mind, to focus the intellect, to be of an opinion, to have a mind-set or attitude.  The prefixed preposition peri means around, as a circle, and thus gives the verb the added meaning of "to surround, or to encircle."  The idea of "despise or disregard" (as it is often mistranslated here) is found in the verb kata-phronew.
