what exactly does olethros, here translated "destruction" mean?
german translations translate normally, "eternal perdition", a concordant translation translates, "eonian extermination".
what does olethros exactly mean, and what do u think is this verse saying, people beeing exterminated for an age, or people sufferering for an age?
the problem seems, that greek words are defined in english different than in germany, while english translations imply desctruction, german translations imply suffering.
what do u personally think is here meant, people put out of existence for an age, or people suffering for an age?
i found the word in 4 verses in the septuagint:
