Title: New topic: Who was Adams Mother?
Post by: micah7:9 on June 16, 2011, 04:39:18 AM
From what evidence I have read I can begin to understand(certainly I am open for thoughts) that, "the ground and dust" is the mother that was spoken of in Gen 2:24  Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother,
Gen. 2:7 Dust H6083 dust (as powdered or gray); hence clay, earth, mud: - ashes, dust, earth, ground, morter, powder, rubbish.
of the ground H127 soil (from its general redness): - country, earth, ground, husband [-man] (-ry), land.

From this I reason that the mother H517 A primitive word; a mother (as the bond of the family); in a wide sense (both literally and figuratively); (like H1): - dam, mother, X parting.
Man/adam= was the dust of the ground. The Lord God breathed into that dust and ground and that formula became a living soul.

Thats what the pagans believe so it may be true.  What I mean by that is, all pagan idolatry has a primal source.  Going back to the days after Noah.  Very likely the originators of the fables corrupted the truth that was handed down by their grandfather Noah (and obviously unrecorded revelation from God).  Being that the flood had just happened, and was fresh in the minds of men it would be hard to completely come up with something new, being that people were so close to God (at least from a temporal perspective).

what ended up happening is that they started to deify men starting with Adam, Cain, Able, Seth.  Then the flood came and Noah and his 3 sons became the reincarnated Adam and his sons.  Likely because man was created in the image of God did this speculation arise.  The world, the ark, the cow, the egg, the lotus flower, all came to symbolize the womb that brought the menu or adam/noah/osiris/nimrod/etc through the watery chaos.

I'm not saying that we should be building doctrines off of pagan knowledge.  Just that there is likely some truth although highly corrupted.  Thus the "bondage of corruption".

Do you remember that post about the matrix from a few months ago you had Micah?  I haven't been able to find it, I've wanted to revisit it, as this is somewhat what I'm trying to get across.

Have to be careful there, Micah.  There are those who even today worship 'mother earth,' and would kill men to protect 'her.'  It's not a pretty sight.

So you all dont have a thought on the posted subject? I just did my figuring from what I know of a mother, like I came out of my mother. I was in the womb of a female who when I cam out I called mom.
I had not known of any pagan teachings of such, I am not offering my study as such.
So, you all have any ideas or thoughts on who was adam/man/mankinds mother?

Ps No I dont know where that matrix post was. I had just added to it, but I find that for me and my mental abilities that it has a very spiritual meaning, I do not believe that the producers had what I gleaned from it in mind.

Dont believe I said anything about earth.

But as for your concern for the father and mother of earth that( we are speculating of course) would be God, for we know from Gen.1:27 that he represents male and female(sire and dame) my input.

Biblical truth = adams mother was the dust of the ground
Pagan corruption = adams mother was earth who is a sentient being to worship

If people were exposed to the truth about the dust of the ground back then, then it wouldn't have been as big of a stretch to turn the dusty mother into the whole earth

I'm not saying I agree with your premise (neither do I disagree) just explaining what I meant

Chaos=Cush btw

Interesting.  And, we see in our own first chapter of Genesis that the earth was tohu and bohu--without form and void--chaos.

I doubt that chaos is a pleasant deity.

What is their motto?  Out of chaos, order--their order, not God's.

When God said "Light Be" that was the beginning. The movement of air out of His Spirit was the first movement of moving things.
may trillions of years later, when He desided to make man. He made an image of Self. A man women child. ( some think this was the second making of humans)

I am not going deep into the earth thinking. I am just saying that God made it all and all was out of HIM.

chaos= cush, I believe its in chaldee.

Origins of Pagan Idolatry by Faber is where I read most of this.  I cross checked some of the claims and found them to be true, or at least plausable from a etymology, historical perspective.  The line of thought is that Cush was likely involved in the cause of the languages being confused.  Unfortunately a good bit of history is conjecture, especially ancient history going back to the time of the flood, so a lot of it is putting bits and pieces together.

Fascinating read, saxons for instance are cucrapes.  Sacca=cush in hindi I think.  All of the monarchies in europe/the world are related.  The brahmas in India are cush.

From what you stated its an assumption by someone named Faber, correct. You cross check some of what claims?
" Unfortunately a good bit of history is conjecture, especially ancient history going back to the time of the flood, so a lot of it is putting bits and pieces together." Now there is what would cause me, that only me, to not read further. Do these studys say that the "flood of Noe" was and entire earth flood? I myself have not studied pagan religion with the Bible in 35 years.

I'm talking history, and nothing is fully certain in history, I'm sure you've heard "the winners write history", there are always competing ideas/translations.  Thats all the qualifier meant. The reason I studied this was trying to figure out the nature of revelation (outside of biblical records), the nature of "the bondage of corruption" and the futility that creation was subjected to and also how did pagan-ness get into christianity.

By claims I mean chaos=cush, or some of the connections that link china, india, the middle east, the Americas, through all the same rituals and gods.  Its some deep stuff with a lot of connections, kind of like doing Bible word studies.

Yes, and we see a lot of references to these gods in our own Bible--Ba'al, Molech, 'false gods,' idols to gods.

We see the Hebrews falling into these pagan practices when they are taken into captivity, we see them worshipping other gods; when they leave captivity, they bring these gods with them.

God is always warning them, admonishing them, angry with them, and finally divorcing them over these practices.  He calls them 'whores,' betraying their marriage to him,

Jeremiah 3:8
And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also.

Our mother and father, our spouse, brother, sister and son is the LORD God of Israel.

Well I think the only reason pagan anything was brought up was because you said this:

QuoteFrom this I reason that the mother H517 A primitive word; a mother (as the bond of the family); in a wide sense (both literally and figuratively); (like H1): - dam, mother, X parting.
Man/adam= was the dust of the ground. The Lord God breathed into that dust and ground and that formula became a living soul.

which I take to mean you are saying that our 'mother' is the dust of the ground, or, in other words, the earth.  Maybe I misunderstood, but if that is what you meant to say, we are just pointing out that is paganism.

QuoteFrom what evidence I have read I can begin to understand(certainly I am open for thoughts) that, "the ground and dust" is the mother that was spoken of in Gen 2:24

One day a group of scientists got together and decided that man had come a long way and no longer needed God. So they picked one scientist to go and tell Him that they were done with Him.

The scientist walked up to God and said, "God, we've decided that we no longer need you. We're to the point that we can clone people and do many miraculous things, so why don't you just go on and get lost."

God listened very patiently and kindly to the man and after the scientist was done talking, God said, "Very well, how about this, let's say we have a man making contest." To which the scientist replied, "OK, great!"

But God added, "Now, we're going to do this just like I did back in the old days with Adam."

The scientist said, "Sure, no problem" and bent down and grabbed himself a handful of dirt.

God just looked at him and said, "No, no, no. You go get your own dirt!"

22 Jehovah possessed me in the beginning of his way, Before his works of old.

23 I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, Before the earth was.

24 When there were no depths, I was brought forth, When there were no fountains abounding with water.

25 Before the mountains were settled, Before the hills was I brought forth;

26 While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, Nor the beginning of the dust of the world.

27 When he established the heavens, I was there: When he set a circle upon the face of the deep,

28 When he made firm the skies above, When the fountains of the deep became strong,

29 When he gave to the sea its bound, That the waters should not transgress his commandment, When he marked out the foundations of the earth;

30 Then I was by him, as a master workman; And I was daily his delight, Rejoicing always before him,

31 Rejoicing in his habitable earth; And my delight was with the sons of men.

:cloud9: He framed the world with wisdom.....she is hidden, because God is not willing that she should be put to shame, which is why Joseph was righteous in thinking that he should hide Mary away so that she should not be put to shame. A covering is as a "hiding". He hides us in the shadow of His wings.

Jesus left (being made a little lower than the angels = as a man) MOTHER and Father to cleave unto His wife (church). He became "her" covering, hiding her away until she births a son in His image and likeness, because she too is pregnant by the power of the HG = the woman given the wings like an eagle in Rev.

I've seen the beginning. Everything was darkness (not "evil" darkness, darkness as in, not filled with the visible light of Christ yet), but everything that was made by Him was outlined (framed) in red, like illuminated (living) ruby. Wisdom is more precious than rubies, which are red. My  :2c:

Biblical truth = adams mother was the dust of the ground
The mother of my house is earth and it's father is a team of construction workers....?

I was just giving a possible example based on Micah's hypothesis.  Like I said I don't accept or reject what he said, just trying to roll with it.

God took a spirit portion of himself and made a spiritual wife for himself...the MOTHER OF ALL THE LIVING... she is OUR MOTHER...

the free woman...Jerusalem Above...Her seed is sown in clay vessels for our exercize in good and evil on this earth.

Eve represented her on earth, Adam was not deceived because his mother had warned him..but Eve became deceived before Mother got to her

all spirit sons of God are in Father's image/male and all daughters of God are in Jerusalem above's image

Keep talking about it because I've been wondering about it.

Galatians 4:26
But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.

The woman gives birth, and the son is snatched up to heaven [rapture?] but the woman is left behind and Satan goes after her.

Then the new Jerusalem comes down from heaven like a bride adorned for her husband.  How does the mother become the bride?

What does it all mean? lol

Revelation 12

1And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:

2And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.

3And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.

4And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

5And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

6And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

16And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.

17And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Galatians4
22For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman.

23But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise.

24Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar.

25For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.

26But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.

27For it is written, Rejoice, thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she which hath an husband.

28Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.

29But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.

30Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.

31So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.

John3
3Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

4Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

6That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

7Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

8The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

To the original question.

I understand, as Cardinal said,
Adam's spiritual "mother" as God's wisdom.
also
I understand, as Micah said,
Adam's carnal "mother" as dust.

Which begs the question:
Since Jesus said, in John 8:44, Ye are of your father the devil,

who is their mother?

Who is the devil's wife?

And exploring it further,
since Jesus said, in John 8:44, Ye are of your father the devil,
does that mean that they are not created of God Himself?

Devil means traducer=Latin traducere to lead across, transfer, degrade... the devil uses/has access to the flesh..here is the channel, using the flesh to accomplish the deed, I would suggest that the wife or partner is the flesh.

Rom 7:17  and now it is no longer I that work it, but the sin dwelling in me,
Rom 7:18  for I have known that there doth not dwell in me, that is, in my flesh, good: for to will is present with me, and to work that which is right I do not find,
Rom 7:19  for the good that I will, I do not; but the evil that I do not will, this I practise.

there is a marriage supper of the Lamb   a bride a groom, a bethrothal, a freind of the bridegroom.   As there has been a physical 'oneness' evidenced on earth...

in the spiritual, heavenly realm...there is a spiritual 'oneness'...and it is all about God seeking'godly offspring', to be fruitful and multiply and fill heaven and earth

What is born of the spirit is spirit..and God and Jerusalem Above are  Mother and Father of your eternal spirit.

Ps 84;5-7 Indee of Zion it will be said,'THIS ONE AND THAT ONE WERE BORN IN HER,AND THE MOST HIGH HIMSELF WILL ESTABLISH HER"

The earth was Adams mother

Psalm 139:15
My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth;
Psalm 139:14-16

The New Jerusalem is the mother of the second Adam, Christ- and His seed.

1.Psalm 71:20

Thou, which hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again, and shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth.
Psalm 71:19-21

1 Corinthians 15:47
New International Version (NIV)

47 The first man was of the dust of the earth; the second man is of heaven.

Seriously. I admit I don't know excatly what that marriage (supper) will be, but I'm kinda sure it's not the earthly type of marriage that very often means intercourse and getting children. And I think that's exactly what we are taking about when discussing Adam having a God and godess as parents.

well now, our earthly marriage was/is patterned after the Heavenly image. when He said, let us make man in our image..male and female He created them..

Paul spoke of the sacrement of marriage as being associated with Christ and the church. Look unto those with Christ...144,ooo virgin male and femaleRev 14;4

72,000 pairs  Luke 10;1    The virgin pairs[holy spirits with soul mates] do not give their virginity in marriage[Luke 20;35]

1 Cor 7;38  so then he who marries the virgin does right,BUT HE WHO DOES NOT MARRY HER DOES BETTER

as the sons have a position in the parabolic body of Christ,so,too, the daughters of God have a parabolic position in Mother wisdom/Jerusalem Above

it may help to think of it in this manner...sons/word of God/apostle's..daughters,holy spirit/prophetess...togather bearing righteous offspring

spirit and truth...son/word daughter/spirit  virgin union...when Christ come up out of the Jordan..the Holy spirit,in bodily form of dove, descended

a NEW THING...a mere woman shall encompass a man

Strange pattern considering that nobody in heaven is married. Besides of God according to some.

People will not marry in heaven just like angels never married either. So nobody is married in heaven unless there are other groups not being angel of human.

Maybe this has been misinterpreted.

Ok note the scripture which starts with "In the resurrection"

So what if Jesus is saying that when the saints are raised from the dead, they will not go and find their ex partners to go and remarry, but are like the angels of heaven, free agents who are able to choose their new wife according to the spirit and not according to the flesh.

Maybe these disciples looked at the resurrection according to the flesh, not knowing the power of God to transform their bodies into angelic spirit beings. Paul also had this same problem with his disciples, he calls them fool.

35But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?

36Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:

37And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:

38But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.

39All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.

40There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.

41There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.

42So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:

43It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:

44It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

45And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

If this is true this is good news indeed, that saints can choose for themselves a new wife according to the spirit.

When Jesus said, in John 8:44, Ye are of your father the devil,
does that mean God is not their Father?

Perhaps. The problem with this I see though is that many believers tend to go out and accuse believers of being not of God, because they don't believe the same doctrine as them.

Interesting though that Jesus calls them children of devil, then later on they themselves say Jesus is possessed with a devil.

Both accusing the same thing, but only one has the power of God.

38I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.
39They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.
40But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.
41Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.
42Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
43Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
44Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
45And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.
46Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?
