Hey I have an interesting translation question,in Malachi chapter 3:5 king James says"because they fear me not" and the NIV "but do not fear me" now in this verse It is God talking to the sinners on the day of judgement and in verse three he has likened himself to a refiners fire and launderers soap for the Levites. Ideas or articles on this verse?Thanks.

I especially like verse six because I change not therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.But you could take it either way in debate not consumed but in ET,however with the because I change notseems to say that because his mercy endures forever he will have mercy.
