Title: Interesting verse in Psalms
Post by: mplsfitter539 on November 16, 2013, 03:59:41 PM
I was just reading Psalms and when I got to this verse I had questions that I need your opinion on. So Psalm 42:11 reads:

O my soul, why are you cast down? And why do you moan with me? Hope in Elohim, for I yet thank Him for the Savior of my face and also he is my Elohim.

So here is my query. Does this verse say hope in God, for I yet thank Him (Yahweh) for the Savior (Yahshua) of my face and He (Yahshua) is my God?

Elohim is sort of a compound name because it means god. Yes lower and uppercase. So is David saying the Yahshua is his god?

Most translations read similar to "....As the triumph of my presence and my God."

It can be read in two ways.
a] The presence = God.
b] The presence and God both triumph as a team.

O'Immanuel...God with us...Jesus Christ revealed the face[bread of the presence/manna

from heaven/hidden manna] of the Father to us.

He had afore times..showed His back..and not His face.  To make His face to shine[oil]

  on you...depicts favour....to turn His face from you[back]...but for a moment= wrath.

the great revealing..of the Father andthe Son and the bride..and the sons of God......

is a face to face thing[or eye to eye]......

the shewbread is oiled...and on open display[cause them to know that I have loved you]

THOU hast prepared for me a table in the presence of mine enemies...[dip in the sop]

have I not chosen you twelve, yet one of you is a devil/liar.

it is always....By My spirit...and the choosing is before anything is done..whether good or

evil...so that the election[favour/faace of God] is not dependant on man,but God.

give us this day our daily bread[continual bread of His presence]...I stand at the door

and knock...if anyone open,I will come in and sup with him.

interesting aside....in book of Ester...Hamaan's face covered when King passed death

sentence....... Absalom's rebellion...forbidden to come into David's presence[face]...

to be denied access to appear before the face of a King..is a cutting offf...not being able

to petition or be heard of Him[deaf ear] or acknowledged of Him.  Jesus does this at the

seperating...denies knowing..and cutsoff from His Kingdom

Saviour of my face..to me..implies acknowledgement and acceptance by God

something else to consider...the shewbread is open display oof  God..manifested of His workings

and His favour..for instance...God with Israel..eating at His table of favour[12 plates for

12 sons]   and many shall come from the east and west and sit down with Abraham at

the table...but the sons of the kingdom shall not[signifying  those that come last due to

rejection of Jesus Christ..until full number of gentiles come in]

Also...He openly manifests the works of His spirit in the earth...of who has favour and who

doesn't..etc...deliverance of Israel from Israel....wilderness expierence...entering the

promised land...overcoming and expelling of former inhabitants....

all these examples in the scriptures....Noah's flood...samson's...David,Solomon etc

are shewbread for us to eat...we 'chew' these things...contemplate these examples.....

both good and evil..as to what pleases and displeases God...............

David eating what was only lawful for the preist's to eat.......providing the men had

abstained from women Rev 14;4  these are thse who did not defile themselves with women

now we may wonder about this..but being defiled with women=unclean sex discharge

from the flesh/not Holy spirit power..but born of the will of man..not God........

Realizing that God's spirit will do and accomplish in you...His desire..and it is not of your

doing/desire etc[will of man]...but of being born along of the spirit of God...........

will help keep things in proper perspective.....

Religions are full of examples of the will of[sinful] men..not of God....and Jesus openly

displayed that in His day...teach doctrines of men/not truth of God...........invalidating God's

true words/teachings/meanings.

sorry if  off topic..but these things go where they will.........

I believe that is what it means.
