In the verses where the Lord tells Ananias to go to a certain house and pray for Saul of Tarsus. Ananias says to the Lord how that man is arresting everyone! And the Lord (9:15) tells him to go, for a vessel of choice is he to carry his name to the gentiles (ethnos), to kings and to the children of Israel.

Not only does the verse read "But the Lord said to him, "Go, for he is a chosen vessel of mine to bear my name before Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel."

...But the word "choice", does that mean choice, as in best? I don't think so, because of all the other verses which say the "choice" is God's, not any person's and not because they are any better than anyone else - or, at least that's what it says about Israel, so I have always assumed it applies to all 'chosen' (to believe during this lifetime). And so many other verses talk about us needing to overcome, subdue and well, be radically changed! [And since we are simply ordinary when chosen, the whole ET scenario makes no sense. And of course, it never does make any sense!]

The word here, translated in the interlinear as "of choice" is #G1589 - (http://biblehub.com/greek/1589.htm) - "a divine selection, choosing out, selecting, choice by God"

  Yes it is is a reason that for me seeing  Paul would suffer as this vessel    for Jesus names sake 

   the same cross  ,  when you look at Cross , you can see it is an upright stake Strong's G4716 - stauros
