The Greek church had thrown out the Hebrews and removed everything that looked Hebrew by around 400 AD. Augustine taught that the Greek translation of the OT; teh Septuagint, was more reliable than the original Hebrew. When Justin wanted to learn Hebrew, he had to go to non-Christian Jews to learn.
They lied to him. They said Hebrew was like Greek with 3-letter roots as the atomic level of meaning.
They said there were only 22 letters and no vowels. There are 28 letters AND vowels.
Every Hebrew letter is formed by yods and vavs. They have meaning from their position in a square template. They give meaning to each letter. The letters combine, joining their meanings into 2-letter gates. If the letters are reversed, the meaning of the gate is reversed. The gates are decorated into 3-letter roots, which obtain their meaning from the letters contained therein. It is said by rabbis that if you don't know the meaning of a Hebrew word, you can discern it from the combined letters within.
A study of Hebrew words observes these formations. Modern Jews avoid it because it speaks of Christ.
In the name Elohim אלהים , we observe El אל meaning 'God', im ים meaning 'water below' and h ה meaning 'heard, but not understood'.
The water below im ים is creation י finished by the son in the flesh ם. It is a metaphor for the people of God. Observe that the yod represents all of creation.
The 'he' ה represents 'hearing without understanding' like the sheep hear his voice, but don't understand the words. LK 16:16.
Notice that God is separated from his people by ignorance. They sin because they have been deceived. "The woman/bride/church" was deceived. "Forgive them... they know not what they do...." ... they have been deceived. How many? All.

The kingdom is teaching (like leaven/teaching)... We sin because we were deceived. The cross it the ultimate revelation through the Son of the father who no man has seen or heard.
The Hebrew word for 'marriage' is also 'doctrine'. The bride of Christ are those who are taught by him... the wife/church learns from her husband.
Jerusalem means 'teaching of peace'. The New Jerusalem is the new teaching of peace ushered in on the sermon on the mount. "You have heard it said.. but I say".
The primary issue is that we make ourselves to be god by living instinctively in the flesh, choosing/declaring good and evil for ourselves rather than consulting God. The carnal mind.. the flesh is at war with God over who is god. We are deceived.
God is not looking to squish us, but to teach us who he is.
p.s. formations are fun. Adam came from the ground 'adamah' and he is made of blood 'dam' and spirit 'א' . The blood is the commandment 'd' ד finished by the son ם.
