I'm Mercy
I'm from all around the state of AZ

A lesson I've learned lately: "Never wrestle with a pig.  It annoys the pig and you just get dirty" (George Bernard Shaw)    ;)

Generally for quotes, George MacDonald and CS Lewis are two of my favorites. I'm reading a Geo Mac book right now and its full of little pithy nuggets.  Here's one on the last page I read: "Without knowing it, she held the main secret of all good manners: she was simple. She never pretended, never wished to appear anything other than what she was."

Hi all

I am from South Africa, no we do not have lions in the streets, just kidding.

Have a rugby team called the lions but have not featured much the last few seasons, must have a satan complex, you know as a roaring lion.

Did have a Texan here once and while travelling on the highway, once we hit the country, savanna farmlands, he enquired where the wild animals were, I kid you not.  We eventually took him to the Kruger park and he got to see the big five.

Blessings

I've never been to Sitka.  Bet you got a lot of rain there.

One year Sitka got 180 inches of rain. I don't know if that is a record, but it was more than usual. I am going back to Sitka next week to visit relatives. Haven't been there in over 10 years. Sitka used to be the capital of Alaska in the 1800's. It's also beautiful with all the mountains, trees and such.

They're both going to abandon ET pretty soon and then do what I've done with combining UR with the holistic Gospel they've understood thus far.  Then the prosperity's really going to come like a flood, along with the healings and people being raised from the dead on a much larger scale.  It'll be pretty soon.  :happy3:

I recently have seen Kenneth Copeland meeting with the Messianic rabbi that the guy at work keeps sending me info on. This rabbi Messner from Colorado says that the whole word of faith camp is embracing the next revival of joining Judah (born again Jews) with Israel (born again Christians). I have a clip of Copeland prophesying to this rabbi about this if anyone wants to see it.

By the way, a black Christian forum that I have frequented for a year recently posted Fred Price saying that a lot of people want to discount hell from the Bible and that he does not know if it is true, but it is sure better than insisting on a God who does not want to bless his children. Considering Fred studies the Word and would seem to be one to tear that down if he could, it seemed interesting. He, also, used to be great friends with Carlton before they had a falling out over racism.

I feel like Paul saying that he had great concern for his brethren after the flesh who is Israel. Word of faith was my first move of God and I hope they do embrace the truth. It sure seems that their view of God as a good God should make the transition an easy one though Oral and all sure did turn on Carlton.

Fort Worth, huh?  I went to a christian biker rally there back in 96 at Kenneth Copeland's ministry grounds.  I used to be a big follower of him and Jerry Savelle (another local prosperity guy) before I abandoned ET.

They're both going to abandon ET pretty soon and then do what I've done with combining UR with the holistic Gospel they've understood thus far.  Then the prosperity's really going to come like a flood, along with the healings and people being raised from the dead on a much larger scale.  It'll be pretty soon.  :happy3:

Hey there,
Are you speaking from just a prophetic standpoint or do you have some inside knowledge that the paradigm is actually shifting?

:cloud9: No kidding.....then you may have been close to me. I live in Fayette county; closest "big" city is Richmond, 35 miles to the NE of me. I was, however, born and raised in the SW "city" of Vincennes, Indiana. That will always be "home" to me, although I'm the only one left now of my immediate family. Only child, parents died relatively young, in their early 60's.

I am familiar with Vincennes. We lived in Corydon so only 30 minutes from Louisville. My wife's family lives in that area now though she was not originally raised there.

It turned pitch black in the daytime; couldn't see a thing, couldn't see which way to run. I knew we were in trouble when I turned on the local radio station and the announcer was not talking, but SCREAMING, "Take cover!" .Perfect example of how God works. HE told us to go there that day. I attended Pioneer Elementary in 6th grade (1971) and Auburn HS in 1975 (10th grade).  That town has gotten so crowded with Emerald Downs, the Supermall and the Muckleshoot Casino.  I remember Auburn WAY back, when people would ask "where's Auburn?"  LOL   How long ago did you live in the area?
Title: Re: Where are you from?

Yes, and I lived in Enumclaw back when the radio and TV announcers didn't know how to pronounce it!  Let's see...  I lived in the Enumclaw area from 61- 80 then again from 91- 99.  Enumclaw changed a lot in the years I was gone.  It used to be such a hick town but now it is filled with million dollar homes and it is "like so cool" to live there while sipping a Starbucks!

I went to Auburn off campus for part off 77/78.  I was supposed to graduate in 79 but I didn't quite make it.   :Sparkletooth:

My name is Robert.

I'm from Charleston, SC.

I don't have a favorite quote off the top of my head, but I am a HUGE fan of Madonna, who has a lot of inspirational and empowering lyrics in her songs. Some of my favorite lyrics of hers that I can think of at the moment are "Express yourself, don't repress yourself," "I know the road looks lonely, but that's just Satan's game," "Beauty's where you find it," "When the lights go down and there's no one left I can go on and on and on," "First love yourself, then you can love someone else. If you can change someone else, then you have saved someone else," and finally "This is who I am. You can like it or not. You can love me or leave me. 'Cause I'm never gonna stop."

Hi Rose,

Indiana is a great place. Do you know the Indiana-based Aaron Pelsue Band? I miss them.

Hi Albert , not I did not , but do now , Thanks for sending this info my way !  I was born and raised in" NAP town " [Indianapolis] Indiana , I am looking into the band right now ,  God love ya bro .... rose

Hey Rose,

The band has a recent music video titled "Revolution" on youtube: "http://tw.youtube.com/watch?v=SuY4GcF7h7A", but it's not my fave, though. Another spiritually invigorating song "We Are Hungry" is as good, and you can feel free to check it here: "http://tw.youtube.com/watch?v=d7zqtynDWkY."

God loves you too.

No, you were the only fish I cought that was online...

And Wal-Mart was where I learned to Strip by watching their Stripping films.
Then I moved on to K-Mart where I stayed as manager of two stores in this area for 3 years as a sub-contractor of Cleaning...  Now I am out stripping on my own, and yes my wife don't let me tell prospective clients that I strip.

Actually, Kansas is west of Missouri/Misery and I don't have much use for the "great state" except for Lawrence.  Nice town.

Yay I'm not alone out here lol!

The same thing that makes all of the younger people move out west: a major job shortage in the east and huge opportunities for good jobs in the west. It's a shame because I love Nova Scotia and miss my family but I am happy here in our new little town (we live just north of Grande Prairie) and the major bonus is that my husband makes enough out here that I don't have to work, I get to be a stay at home mom and focus on raising my children. I love being a stay at home mom, I feel so blessed to be able to do it in this day and age.

lomarah, the east/west job situation is just like Stan Rogers described in his song "The Idiot."  Are you familiar with it?  The song dates back to 1982, maybe older.  I had to look through my collection to find the song - I've got nine CD's of his, and a few LP's.  Here's the lyrics:

I often take these night shift walks
When the foreman's not around
I turn my back on the cooling stacks
And make for open ground
Far out beyond the tank-farm fence
Where the gas flare makes no sound
I forget the stink and I always think
Back to that Eastern town

I remember back six years ago
This western life I chose
And every day the news would say
Some factory's going to close
Well, I could have stayed to take the dole
But I'm not one of those.
I take nothing free, and that makes me,
An idiot, I suppose.

Chorus:
So I bid farewell to the Eastern town
I never more will see
But work I must so I eat this dust
And breathe refinery
Oh I miss the green and the woods and streams
And I don't like cowboy clothes
But I like being free and that makes me
An idiot, I suppose.

So come all you fine young fellows
Who've been beaten to the ground
This western life's no paradise,
But it's better than lying down.
Oh the streets aren't clean, and there's nothing green,
And the hills are dirty brown,
But the government dole will rot your soul
Back there in your home town.

So bid farewell to the Eastern town
You never more will see.
There's self-respect and a steady cheque
In this refinery.
You will miss the green and the woods and streams
And the dust will fill your nose.
But you'll be free, and just like me,
An idiot, I suppose.

Yeah onlytruth, staying warm is the key out here lol. The first day I was here I burned my hand on the metal doorknob outside of our apartment building. I had no idea you could burn yourself from a metal doorknob being too cold!   :NewB1: LOL

Wow Laz, that pretty well describes it lol. Except that no one considers us idiots. I can't tell you how many people move out west from down home... at least half of the people I graduated with. No joke. The job market there is not ideal. Out here you can pretty much do anything you want. It's so different.

The only complaint I have is the minus 39 temperatures. And I still haven't seen the northern lights.

A fellow I used to know told me he once had his car in a barn on the Canadian prairie, worked on by his girlfriend's father, a native of the area.  He was handling metal tools with his bare hands at forty below.  You'll adjust, it just takes time.  My brother has lived in Wyoming at about a 7000 foot elevation for years, and loves it - climate much like yours I think.

"Never wrestle with George Bernard Shaw, it makes the pig jealous."  (me)

The famous writer John Stott is at All Souls Church in London, I think.  It's possible someone there could direct you to others in your neighborhood.  With so much veiling, tradition and spiritual deadness, the way I view gathering with other believers is it's a mission field.  God usually gives me a person or a family for real spiritual fellowship, though we don't always see eye to eye intellectually.

You will be that close?  We should visit...

This Missouri boy can take the cold, and I need TREES!  The big draw is family there, and my half ownership of the family home [read, NO RENT].  It may interest you all to hear the story - Barb and I had been rethinking going to Alabama, and Tuesday night we prayed for clues, direction, and guidance.  Ten AM the next morning, my nephew, who had been living in the family home, called to say he and his wife had moved out about last Thanksgiving.  The answer was there before we asked!

I have all three in Minnesota, the land of 10,000 lakes, a zillion trees, and temperatures that just recently dropped to minus 53 (oh yes, Minnesota also has wind!!) wind chill factor.  and I'm old  (80 soon!!!)   I love winter.... snow.... even cold (well 50 below is a bit much)...

Lazarus... happy packing and moving to you and Barb... God is so gracious...always seems (?) to know ahead of time just what His children need and want.

James... you're much too young to be already wanting warmer weather...

Have a pleasant evening.... where ever you are...  for no matter where you are... He is where you are.

Anna, thank you for the kind words.  I'm listening to Minnesota Public [internet] Radio classical as I type this - the sound quality is incredible, and it's 24/7.  You may have no idea what it means to a classical music lover who is stuck in a C&W town.

Anna I know what you mean about fellow shipping. I have actually never met anyone (personally) who believes in the glorious gospel. Everyone that I know believes in the bad news of ET and I have never met anyone who questions what they believe or why they believe it. No matter what you show an ET believer they will all defend ET fiercely. If pushed on the issue most ETers will become extremely angry. So there is no physical assembly of like minded people who can gather for fellowship. My goal is to meet one other person who believes in the glorious gospel. We should find a central proximity location for all the members here to meet and set a time and date. It would be like a reunion except for the fact that most of us have never met each other in person.

Hi mpls

Re:  Anna I know what you mean about fellowshipping.

I fellowship through email, snail mail, Christian Forums ONLY because I no longer can travel or even go outdoors.  And I fellowship with anyone, including family, friends, former fellowshippers  who believe that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior... I'm not into labels such as UR, ET, etc. and I fellowship at Tentmaker Forum only because they believe that Jesus Christ is Savior of ALL men.

My main concern is always to encourage ALL those with whom I fellowship to get into the Word... I'm compiling a Seeker's Devotional... based on Ps 119 and of course, Seek first the Kingdom of God... it's kind of a Bible Study type devotional. I'm still refining it a bit ... my prayer has been and continues to be that as they read/study that the Holy Spirit will quicken the TRUTH to their minds and hearts.

Unlearning is often harder than learning.
Likely/partly because the first step you have to take is to admit you were wrong for years.
The turn or burn message makes it even harder I guess.

A truth's initial commotion is directly proportional to how deeply the lie was believed. It wasn't the world being round that agitated people, but that the world wasn't flat. hello everyone from south texas, thank you so much Gary you are such a real caring man of God, you have no idea how much talking to you meant to me. for all the rest, I've been called by God since 1971, after a lifetime of drugs and crime at 57 God broke me in half last week when I almost died from  a drug overdose. Since 1971 I've probablly spent two years sober off drugs, I tried to die just last week but God said no not yet. He sent some to save me.

I don't need convincing or proof of Him for I have seen miracles and wonders He performed through me. I wwas known years ago as Moondawggy as I created Spirit touching Spirit ,,I became injured and addicted to prescription drugs and betrayed my calling. He didn't give me up and will not. I can hear his voice again and sense His great presence once agian and have been charged once aain to be about my Fathers' business I  have more wonders to perform for His people and those to heal. We all do for we are one spririt with Him, we none of us can be seperated some of us are just harder to break. I've gone from drug dealer, armed robber criminal and back again at 57 an it was not wasted, painful but not wasted. Love to you all in our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ.

it makes sense to me that hell is not an eternal torture but what if someone like hitler or people who have slaughtered and tortured people without mercy and then died and received no justice for their crimes on earth. wouldn't it seem unfair for god not to give them some kind of punishment after they die?

Cranny, we have discussed this very subject at great length (and depth!).  My take on it is that God's justice does not demand that some be punished for eternity, for justice is tempered with mercy.  In fact, I have stated that God's justice was to send His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for us.  Do we need Hell in addition to that?  God forbid!  The purpose of punishment is correction, or it is just simple sadism.  I see the Lake of Fire, the closest thing to Hell in the Bible, as a place to punish, to correct, to burn away our wood, hay, and stubble, and therefore to be left with the gold, silver, and other precious things the fire cannot burn.  Once cleansed, and remember how often God describes Himself as a cleansing fire (or even as soap!), the punished is taken out of the Lake of Fire, and so is able to enter the Kingdom:  Salvation for All!  Otherwise, how can God ever be All in all?

BTW, welcome to Tentmaker!  :friendstu: :gimmefive: :friendstu:

What I believe based on Romans 1 description of recompense and wrath is that sin itself is a punishment, and Gods wrath is experienced internally, the internal destruction that Hitlers sin causes him.  I believe he will be resurrected but will not be alive to God until he hears the words of the Bride to come and drink of the true water of life. His inner torment and spiritual death will be released when he bends his knees and confesses with his mouth.

will not forgive you. Justice is sin in the flesh is condemned in all..Grace and reconciliation is forgiveness and healing of all who

Nice to meet you Rose! Shev does sound rather Hebrew (isn't 'Shevah' the word for seven or something?) but Shevlane is as Irish a name as leprechauns and four leaf clovers.

The truth of Universalism was poured upon me 15 days ago, i have never received a revelation of any other truth this fast, light bulb after light bulb flashing on scriptures in my head! answering things about God i could never explain before! It was through a study on hell that i came across this topic, i kept avoiding looking at it, when i finally looked at it God had me all in!

Welcome, Mike! That is a beautiful thing to hear!

Double thumbs up !! :2thumbs:  it is   a Lovely  thing to hear     we Follow His Voice    and it is Him we  hear   they  are words of eternal Life   for all mankind especially  for those whom believe !!
     John 6
61 Knowing that his ·followers [disciples] were ·complaining [grumbling] about this, Jesus said to them, "Does this teaching ·bother [offend] you?

62 Then ·will it also bother you to [L what if you] see the Son of Man ·going back [L going up; ascending] to the place ·where he came from [L where he was before; C heaven]?

63 It is the Spirit that gives life. The flesh ·doesn't give life [L is useless; counts for nothing]. The words I told you ·are spirit, and they give life [or are from the Spirit who gives life].

64 But some of you don't believe." ([L For] Jesus knew from the beginning who did not believe and who would ·turn against [betray] him.)

65 Jesus said, "That is the reason I said, ·'If the Father does not bring a person to me, that one cannot come.' [L 'No one can come to me unless the Father enables/grants him.']"

Its is the Father who  calls them out of the world   and into His   hand    /power

66 After Jesus said this, many of his ·followers [disciples] ·left him [L turned back to previous things] and ·stopped following [L no longer walked with] him.

67 Jesus asked ·the twelve followers [the Twelve], "Do you want to leave, too?"

68 Simon Peter answered him, "Lord [or Master], who would we go to? You have the words that give eternal life. 69 We believe and know that you are the Holy One from God."

I love your testimony ,  and agree its with    Lightnings and flashing and moving and shaking    all the old    heaven and earth  must come   down  and the new and living way      cannot be    shaken or moved out of its place       :flowerred:

Isn't it odd that Jesus told Judas (at the last supper) to do what he had to do quickly, but did not warn him about his risking hell if he did?  He also failed to warn Adam, Eve, Cain, and gobs of other people about the possibility of their going to hell in consequence of their sins.  That's quite a lapse if hell really existed/exists, and if God really sends people there.  No, Jesus said that if He were lifted up, He would draw (drag) ALL men to Himself.  In the end of time (it's in I Corinthians) Jesus will hand the Kingdom over to His Father, who will then become All in all.  That can't happen if anyone is still dead and/or in hell.  In Genesis 1:1 we read that God made the heaven and the earth.  I guess hell was left out or God didn't make it

Hell is based on:

Bad theology, mostly borrowed from pagan sources.
Bad translation, mostly caused by bad theology, but there are good translations.
Scary trappings - imagination and images - the badly translated "hell" must be fleshed out.
Fiction - Dante, Milton, Mary K. Baxter - legends, epic poems, outright fraud.  With Dante we come full circle to the pagan.

Hi I'm Ben, 43, from Melbourne Australia.
Baptised with fire n spirit last year when God poured out his grace, love and forgiveness on me - praise the Lord - after a previous life of unbelief and scoffing at anything remotely Christian.
Now repenting, God willing.
Quite a humbling surprise to discover almost everything you think you know is wrong!

Reminded of TS Eliot's poem Journey of the Magi:
We returned to our places, these Kingdoms,
But no longer at ease here, in the old dispensation,
With an alien people clutching their gods.

I am Bob (He1MyHeart) currently in Lakeland,Florida. That is midway between Tampa and Orlando.
My personal website is www.gentletouchcreationsministries.com on it are several teachings and over 60 inspirational poems. They are not your usual poems as they were given by the Spirit of Prophecy as I never was inclined to poetry until filled with the Holy Ghost back in 1976. Many of the poems contain understandings or revelation missed by just a casual reader of the scriptures.

I enjoy sharing the truths that the Holy Spirit has deposited in my heart. Feel free to contact me if you like to discuss the things of God. I will listen to anyone's opinion or revelation and share mine as well but I won't argue or debate since that helps no one.  :dsunny: :HeartThrob: :dsunny:

I was recently impressed to pray for a brother that he would be granted entrance into the glorious liberty of the sons of God.  While searching for the verse, I found an article on this site.  Pleasant surprise.

I believe I don't need any of the things that the external church as to offer because I have found them all within myself. The kingdom, church, temple, the spirit of Christ. I did all kinds of seeking and searching for the truth in my youth but it only left me feeling alone and rejected. I see all of what I was looking for was always within me yet my 5 senses had me looking with out. It took me on a long confusing ride for many years. I was bitter and angry at God or the image I had come to know as God. It was the Paster at Victory Baptist Church that said something about Universal Salvation as being from the pits of hell. I asked him, what that was? He told me the belief that all would be saved.  I could not get that idea out of my mind. I had to look into it for myself. I have learned a lot about it and to me it fit the God of my own heart. The new image of God began to grow within the old and it shattered the old. God is much to big to be held by such an idea that limits the power of God.

I am a Universalist. I believe in the Eventual Universal Salvation for all humankind regardless of whether you/they know/like it or not. Like all disciples of Yhshua/Joshua, I am also not a Catholic/Christian/religionist/member of any organisation/church. Let's give thanks to the Yhwh Father Almighty/God while we rejoice in our Bible Study and Fellowship in the God-given name/authority of His son, Anointed Yhshua. HalleluYh! (Praise ye Yhwh!)

Cheers Always! (1 Thessalonians 5:16)

Hi everyone. This is Ursula from southern Ontario. I used to post on another forum many years ago but it got weird.

I've believed that Jesus came to save the world(and that's exactly what He's doing) for about 10 years now.

I've started attending a church in the last year but of course they do believe in ET. So strange that when I shared with a couple of people about universal salvation, they couldn't get it. The subject got changed and I didn't feel good about it. It gets pretty lonely but I'm looking forward to the day when all will believe in the glorious gospel and then we can fellowship in truth. I look at these lovely people in church and think, seriously, how can you believe this and how can you be ok with it!

It's all part of God's plan so it's all good.

Bless you folks, it's nice to meet you in your posts.

Ursula

Welcome, Ursula!

I have visited Ontario and Montreal. I love Ontario, especially. Lots of nice things to do and see there. It has been about 40 years, though, since I have been there.

Don't give up. There are some churches out there that do allow UR and even preach it. There was one right under my nose, whose Pastor was actually a friend of mine. I didn't know she preached
Christian Universalism, because we hadn't spoken about it, to one another.....until about 2 months ago.

I have only been a believer for about a year and a half. But, when I was spoken with, about it, it seemed to me to be the God I knew and loved.

And, when I read 1 Corinthians 13 again, and came to the line....Love never fails......it was finally really coming together for me.

God always promised his relentless love. How could death remove His love for us?

So glad you joined us. I hope you like it here.

D.

Thanks Dandelion for your welcome. I know eh? God loves all of His creation and Jesus being the Good Shepherd will not let even one stay lost. He is definitely One to love and follow and to be with.

How great for you that you weren't fed that great deception of eternal torture.  That whole teaching is just sooo strange but most of the church is believing it. I feel honoured that God showed little me His true all encompassing love for humanity. Yay!

Ursula :)

Hi Tionna.

I am from the USA, as well.....in live in Queens, in NYC.

Well, to know more about this forum, you can look at the videos that are done by Gary, under the label, Tentmaker.

You can look through the threads, and read the introduction statements, from our moderators.

Just jump in, read the threads, and make comments, and people will usually respond.

For me, I am a Christian in every way of any other Christian, with the belief that Jesus died for all, and that all will one day be united in Him.

I believe that Jesus is the only way to salvation, and all must eventually come to Him and recognize Him as the Son of God, fully God and fully man,
sent to earth to save us, by His life and His death. The Bible is my guide; the Holy Spirit, my teacher and counselor; the Father, my Abba. I belleve God's Law is based on love and that Jesus came to fulfill the Law of the Old Testament, bringing it to a more perfect reflection of God, by demonstrating love as the guideline.

You will find our site friendly, and our moderators strive to maintain order and geniality.

Welcome, and I think you are going to like it here.             :welcome:

D.

Welcome Tionna! :hiya:

Yep, as Sister D said you can go into the different topics and read.. If you comment/"reply" it will bring that thread back to the list of the most recent active threads, which list is at the bottom of the forum page (link) - the forum main page. It's a friendly place! And feel free to ask questions!

We are,of course a Bible believing group.. Like any other group we do have some differences here, but not that many. The focus is the belief that ultimately, all will repent, and will be reconciled to God. That Jesus really is "the savior of the world" and it is actually true that "God is the savior of all" (1 Timothy 4:10)..

I think a great forum page to read, to know where we're at around here, is - http://tentmaker.org/forum/rules-and-faq/77-ultimate-reconciliation-and-renewal-scriptures/msg118063/#msg118063 - 77 Ultimate Reconciliation and Renewal Scriptures

And also - http://tentmaker.org/forum/hellbusters-hallow/heaven-yes-hell-no/ - Heaven, Yes...Hell, No - a great thread to read (or scan through) a study examining all books of the Bible.

God bless!!

P.S. - I am from the usa, also.. from Wisconsin :gsmile:

Thanks for the 'hi' FatBird..

I can't find things on here very well yet.

Where are the lasted posts?

And can I change the forum look and layout to see the latest post at the TOP not so far back ...all I can see are posts which are years old....
I am 78 and find it confusing...( which doesn't take much!! LOL )

Thanks

I thought that I was doing okay on here...but I looked in my Profile...and cannot see an option to - "return to post after posting".  Which I am used to.

I KNOW that I make spelling mistakes etc etc, but once I post , it vanishes and I can't see the mistakes that I made,  to correct them.
Neither can I find the post that I just made!   :Chinscratch:
