Title: Thoughts on this dream
Post by: chester-blowfold on January 09, 2017, 06:40:13 PM
A dream I had last night has left me perplexed.

I was blessed by a catholic priest in my dream. Can't remember what he was saying but it was definitely a blessing. I was kneeling down with my back to him as he did it. He was an old scary fire and brimstone priest I remember who used to live in my village.

Any thoughts?

what comes to mind to me......Israel was also to be a blessing unto the nations...but their being blinded for a time..allowed

for the mercy to be extended unto the nations. Same thing with Christendom's churches...opening the blessing for the 3rd measure

of all saved..  Daniel prophesied that the dragon would overcome the saints[believers/churches/congregations] and though satan

meant it for evil......God worked it for the good of all men.  for ALL men were bound up in disobedience[in one form or another]

so that God should show mercy unto all.

My  :2c:

If you have turned your back on the religious systems of the world (Catholic Priest), could it be a confirmation (affirmation) from God that is what you have done

and that is because we seek after the blessings (approval) from God ..... not from men

God has approved of what you have done and told you so

again .... my  :2c:

some old priests can be scary...I remember an old Anglican priest scaring me about eternal hell in Sunday school, when I was 9 years old....that experience stayed with me for life.

a few thoughts come to my mind. Jesus saying...'get behind me,satan" unto 'PETER" for you have the thoughts of men

not God..  Catholic church/Peter connection.......and the turning the back on man's thoughts/doctrines[catholic church]

has allowed you to be blessed  and kept through Christ's sacrifice/cross...the free gift of righteousness and eternal life...

...and not cursed/for law and it's accompanying curse's were nailed to the cross.

Some interesting thoughts sheila, thanks.
Don't think it has anything to do with the church itself as the church is not something I ever give thought to.......not sure many do, even those that go. Surely most will be thinking of God/Jesus?
Hell, that's something I can believe my dream was about. I'm certainly not there but feel I'm on the right path.
