I praise God for giving me more of the Holy Ghost.
I am addicted to the way they make me feel everyday.
I want more of them.
The Seven Holy Spirits of God
Revelation 5:6
And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts,
and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain,
having seven horns and seven eyes,
which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
Welcome to the Tent,VanOo... :newb: :girlheart:
Welcome! Kool name! Awesome verses..! .."sent forth into all the earth.." :dsunny: :cloud9:
Welcome Van0o. I think, in a sense, there are many spirits of God because God is spirit (John 4:24); God is the father of spirits (Hebrews 12:9); and God is the source of all (Romans 11:36). Scripture says all comes out of God; all is being operated through God; and all literally returns into God.

I think we're one in spirit with God and Christ through Christ (John 17:22). I also think there is one God, the Father, out of whom all is (1 Corinthians 8:6). I think the spirits referred to in Revelation 5:6 are represented by the seven lamps of fire before the throne, the seven eyes and seven horns of the Lambkin, and are the same seven messengers who blow the trumpets and pour out the bowls of the last calamities, but they're not the one spirit of God. I think things are going to get crazy here if we start debating figurative vs. literal in Revelation again, but I believe God is one.
"The foremost precept of all is: Hear, Israel! the Lord our God is one Lord." (Mark 12:29)
do you want to share your thoughts on that Tom,coz I don't see it. ty :girlheart:
Welcome to the Tent, Van0o! :friendstu: :gimmefive: :friendstu:
I'm not sure what you want me to share my thoughts on, sis. What I was saying is that I believe God is literally one spirit, but all spirits are spirits of God in the sense that they all come from God and are subject to God as are all other creatures of God including humans. So I think it's in that sense that Revelation is speaking of seven spirits of God not that God is literally seven spirits because scripture says God is one. I don't know if I made that any clearer or just made it more confusing.
ty bro....now I got it. :girlheart: :laughing7:
