I've noticed a growing number (seems to be growing)of people using hell as a way of putting the fear of God into people.
Often those doing it are smart and tbh I know my bible little where as they know it really well, doesn't mean they understand it though.
I've made it my goal to fight back with the truth of God's pure love (I still struggle with Jesus) but am noy going to lie, Some of these people are real smart cookies. This imho means I need to steal your brains some times to fight this good fight and get the message out there that God saves all.
I will not send anyone this way unless it is permitted by you the owners/mods/and users of this site.

Just a few issues and thoughts I'll throw out there. Others feel free to add on.
People are encouraged to come to the discussion forum IF they are truly seeking. On the other hand, *if they're just coming in to argue/harangue, and to incessantly "preach" a drastic contrarian view, then their stay here tends to be short-lived. Some reasons for that are that TM is a discussion forum with the focus/ministry of sharing the Good News (Jesus saves) including that He will ultimately save all - not to provide ET or ED an unlimited platform to further their views (which is already the majority/prevailing/orthodox position). Also, TM is not a general debate forum, where arguing, insulting, stirring strife is allowed - which often becomes the case if * above (arguing/preaching their view) is their motive.
So, with that said, see how that fits where you are and what you're encountering, and others can comment as well. Thanks, James.
Also, folks with that aforementioned contrarian view are very often given some room/space to make their points, and discuss them a bit. A lot of it has to do with attitude and presentation. Someone with a kind/respectful tone, even if their view is different than the view of TM, has a much better chance of hanging around awhile than someone who just comes in with both barrels blasting. Plug my little say into what you're thinking and see how things fit, including with others' thoughts. I look for eaglesway to weigh in too.
These growing numbers will increase as we near the return of Christ.
Jesus interestingly says ,"many will do miracles in my name, cast out demons in my name- I never knew them."
These people, just like us, are in God's hand; just that they will not be blessed into the initial salvation, but the one after.
Not our job to convert them.
Paul says not to get involved with discussions about myths and legends.
I used to try that, now have hidden that pearl and long for the return of Christ to start the next ball rolling.
Smart cookies are not always right, just know how to phrase their argument so they appear plausible.
Greeks started all that.
Paul says the wisdom of man is foolish compared to the wisdom of God- ergo look to God not man for answers.
Study the word yourself and this will be the truth that sets us free.

JABCAT, cheers. After reading and thinking on your comments I feel it's best I only mention this site to those that are respectful (funny how many Christians really aren't respectful) and our looking for enlightenment.........or just a cheery chat every now and again.

are kind of a firstfruits of His hand of refining/deliverance. this fear of what they see coming on this world...will cause many to seek Him
and draw near in ways they had not formerly[God can use this fear to the good]
whether He Blesses them on this side..or the other....with increase is His prerogative. All we can do is tell them what He has done for us.
we,too, at one time when we held these hellfire doctrines....mistook that darkness for light...may His LIGHT become brighter and brighter
as HIS DAY approaches.May He continue to sit as a refiner and purifier.
