I live in New Mexico (Pecos Valley), land of cactus fruits and pecan nuts. I've been to SoCal, and didn't like it. Same for Florida. Same for Kansas. Some day I will find a land that I can love, but probably not in this life, though the Ozarks come close...

Lol here in Southeast Wisconsin it's probably 75% winter and 25% summer. This year there really has been no in between. I mean we were still getting snow like 3 weeks ago.

Currently I live in East Dakota aka Minnesota --land of 4 seasons, where Winter is very Cold, Spring is very Green, Summer is very Hot, Autumn is very colorful.
Others maintained that Minnesota is the state of two seasons: six months of Winter and six months of road construction.
I like having 4 seasons -- but not when we have all 4 seasons in two weeks (First two weeks of May, 2013)... I looked out the south window and it was snowing... a few minutes later, when I looked out again, it was raining... and in between the snow and rain I watched as dead leaves were blown off from a couple of trees, and saw with great delight that another tree was beginning to bud out!!! Oh the fun of living in southern Minnesota... and as Warhawk shared SE Wisconsin....

I have noticed that north of Des Moines is a whole different world, and for one thing, devoid of Redbud trees, to which I am allergic. That alone made me think about moving to the Great White North.

Yeah I know some people in Winona, Rochester, and the Twin Cities, and they got a lot. We just got flurries where I am, but it was still annoying. Yeah I like having 4 seasons as long as winter doesn't last into May.

Laz on your way up to the Great White North, please plan to stop in Minnesota... all the small towns have great antique shops and all have Ma/Pa cafes with the best home-made meals on planet earth. Speaking of on the way up to the Great White North, my favorite place to visit and perhaps live permanently is Banff National Park (well they won't allow me to live in the park, but near it) in Alberta, Canada.
I want to go visit Banff sometime soon! My aunt lives in Canmore, not too far from there. If you go back let me know so I can plan a trip down to give you a hug!!

Yes, Anaheim is about 45 minutes away and the home of Disneyland.
I'm in central North Carolina. Each season is pretty distinct here, but the winters don't have much snow because the daily high temperatures are usually no lower than the high 30s. Summers are hot (90-105 degrees).
