So glad to have you here as one of us Robert.

As you have probably discerned many of us are in different places on our journey home, not that I am saying anyone is closer than anyone else. Surely Father only knows that. Yet it is good to see things from multiple view points, It will be great to have you in the mix.

Welcome Home  :HeartThrob:

Love Julie

Welcome, brother. I'm an ex-Catholic, ex-Protestant, member of the body of Christ. The church calls universal reconciliation heresy, but I call it the word of God.

"through Him to reconcile all to Him (making peace through the blood of His cross), through Him, whether those on the earth or those in the heavens" (Colossians 1:20)

Thanks everyone!!!!!   I  have been   on   a few forums over the years  and      i  know    things can get quite lively   lol       I hope we  are much    more mature than our   political  brethren in washington Dc and can   disagree agreeably  in     places  where we see things differently.  Jesus  did say  they will know we are  His by our love NOT our correct  doctrine   lol     Look forward to   many  fruitful   discourses  with  all of you  :D

Welcome, Robert, and I'll say that moving from correct doctrine to LOVE has been a long journey, just like moving from ET to ED to UR.  It's a long haul back to Heaven... :cloud9: :friendstu: :gimmefive:

I'd say love is the doctrine of Jesus.

"For the entire law is fulfilled in one word, in this: "You shall love your associate as yourself."" (Galatians 5:14)

How many of us on this board found it easier to love fellow man when you found out that the ET doctrine was false? I know I did. You can't take John 13:35 without Galatians 1:8

Galatians 1:8
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

I think Paul said that because he knew his Gospel was the power of God unto salvation.

AAMOF, not only did I find it easier to love others,
I found it easier to love Yahweh.
I found it easier to forgive others.
I found it easier to worship fervently.
I found it easier to understand the scriptures.
I found it easier to do good deeds without worrying about getting recognized for it.
I found it easier to accept the truth and put my whole faith into it.

Hey John from Alabama-  sorry i   should have included the scripture reference   lol  but  tom   i think it was tom  did it for me thanks bro!!!    Jesus never said  not by  correct doctrine i was merely  seeking to make a point  in how   easy  it is to   argue doctrinal   positions  and  end up    going against the love we  are rooted in  to support the doctrine. If we look throughout human history all the way back to   good ole Adam & Eve   we see   humans  struggle to simply love. No wonder God made it the  first and second greatest commandment  He knew   we would   struggle.   Grace is truly amazing!!!!

On a side note, any of you follow Rachel Held Evans?? i got a chance to hear her speak  and  meet her  very briefly   and  i really     like her. She is a mover and a shaker in a very  good way. Just an fyi.

Robert

WELCOME, ROBERT32.

PLEASE ENLIGHTEN ME.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY "I HOLD TO PARTIAL PRETERIST AND AMILLENNIAL VIEWS"?

THEOLOGICAL TERMS CHALLENGE ME AT TIMES.
