Hi everyone, I'm Kathy and have been on an exciting but painful journey out of deception and the teachings of men. I have been part of a very works based religion my whole life and discovered the true gospel of Jesus last April. It was extremely painful to find that what I had believed my whole life was based on lies, cover ups and deception. But at the same time had a joy and peace for the first time, knowing I was saved and safe in Jesus' hands....that He had already accomplished everything for me at the cross. But I was soon to find out that I felt like I had jumped from the frying pan to the fire. Being in a religion that didn't believe in eternal torment, I was horrified when I confronted it for the first time. It undid me so bad, I was angry with God, didn't want to speak to Him, didn't want to read my Bible anymore and certainly didn't want to go to church. But I kept thinking that if this doctrine was so horribly repulsive to me, how must it be to God? So I started out searching for truth. First trying to find everything I could on annihilation...because that is what I was taught to believe.
God started putting people in my life pointing me in the direction of Universal Reconciliation. I would read some, listen some, but always came away with "I hope this is the way it really is". The last book I read was "Raising Hell" by Julie Ferwerda and before I was even half way through the Holy Spirit revealed to me that this is really true! In an instant, all the darkness and confusion I had been in for several weeks just vanished, replaced with tears of joy! I don't even have words to describe what this means to me, and how it has impacted my relationship with Jesus! I feel for the first time in my life I have a REALLY good news gospel to share. Although, sadly, I'm already learning that most people don't want the GOOD NEWS that is too good to be true.
Thank you Colleen for supporting me through this difficult and dark time and consistantly sharing the good news. I'm excited to be here and to make new friends on this journey and keep on learning.
Welcome Kathy. I hope the God of love blesses you as you journey into the light of the glorious good news.
Bienvenido Kathy,
Stay on the course you are on, it gets better everyday!

You don't
have to describe it to us. We understand because many of us have been there and had the same experience. Overwhelming & confusing at first, then joyful and exciting. AWESOME! God bless your journey.
Welcome, Sister!
