I was raised in an Anabaptist type environment and the teaching of eternal Hell in the church caused me much torment and agony in my teenage and young adult years. I suffered multiple nervous breakdowns over the years and eventually considered myself agnostic because of this monstrous monstrous teaching which turns the God of Love into a devil of hate. I came across the teaching of UR last year, and while I instantly knew the Truth of the teaching, it took a year of studying and absorbing the joyous news before I could change my ingrained thought habits and really believe again in the Bible and God. I am looking forward to getting to know this God of Mercy, Love, and true Justice.
:welcome: Johann :reachout: :hithere:
Sad story with a happy ending :bgdance:
Hope to read from you more soon.
"I instantly knew the Truth of the teaching"
Same here brother.
:cloud9: Blessings to you and welcome to the Tent of meeting........ :HeartThrob:
Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone. The writings of the Reformation-era Anabaptist universalist, Hans Denck, have influenced me greatly, hence my screen-name. I also hold Alexander Mack and the early German Baptist Brethren/Dunkers in high esteem; they believed in and kept alive the truth of UR until the late 19th century. I believe these Anabaptists were a revival of the true faith as taught by Jesus Christ.

Wow! So glad you've joined Tentmaker's Forum. I genuinely look forward to reading your posts. Share with us some of the rich perspectives you've come across in Hans Denck, Alexander Mack, and others, please!!
Hi Johann! Welcome. I would like to make a recommendation. Download the mp3 teachings from tentmaker and from other good sites, to your desktop or laptop. Next , put the mp3s on an mp3 player also. Then just listen to all these wonderful teachings and you will really learn about all the things your wanting to know more about.
Thats what I'm doing now and its awesome. I drive a truck, and I have my mp3 player with me , and its got numerous teachings on it , and its just so great to have all that with me in my truck, a tremendous blessing. So, I wish you all the best also, in your search for the truth regarding this Victorious Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ!! See ya.
