"This war between denominations is so stupid. What this world need is more peacemakers"

Precisely. Where I come from I'm expected to agree with people on things we have in common such as God, Jesus Christ, Holy Spirit. When one "attacks" another, even if we know their version of truth falls well short of a loving God, we create enmity and have a reverse effect to what we wish.

The main thing I want others to know, from my understanding, is that even the most advanced spiritually know less then one percent of of one percent about the Love of God... that I do know

What upsets me is when others bring the Love of God down to their own human level through dogmatic belief.

Relationship over doctrine.  It's not that debates over doctrine can't take place but the war of words is not Christ-like.  It's just not that important, trying to convince someone of our way of thinking.  There is a very good chance our doctrine falls well short of understanding.

When approaching a debate we need to ask ourselves a few questions...

1) What is our motivation?  Are we insecure about our stances?  Are we trying to one up?  Is this a pride issue over iron sharpening iron?
2) Will it bring greater understanding through love?
3) Do you believe the other party is open to healthy communication?  Are they pliable?  Are they willing to break from their traditional thinking?

1.1.11 - I found the following site and have read many of the messages - I know that it has enhanced my spiritual walk tremendously.
There were over 1500 (messages/prophecies) given to a group of Christian believers living in England, between 1920's and 1950's.
They were recorded by someone on shorthand... and then typed up...and then read back to the group to get a common consensus that
it was accurate to the best of their ability.

Hi,

I just wanted to drop a little note of encouragement. These messages have also enhanced my love for the Master Christ - certainly faith is tested, and tested hard - but what is untested faith worth when the overpowering test comes? I have studied these for about 20 years now, and have found a love for Jesus the Christ, an ever growing love, so deep it is unshakable, and I have found a God Who is Love so Wise and all-seeing, no words, thoughts or actions of man can take Him away.

Now I cannot read these messages without being uplifted, cleansed of gathered impurities, reminded of my past and future, re-invigorated as to my goal (or rather God's goal for my spirit) and yet reminded always of my almost complete lack of spirituality in the Face of the utter Purity of the Master. I kneel at His Feet yet He is closer than breath.

I have found so much truth in the words "Seek and ye shall find" – I have found that once one relies on Christ and Christ alone, without the theories, there is no going back. I have found He makes it so only He is there to save with His unthinkable Love and all the props removed – and encourages forging on into the future fearlessly because He is always there.

These are just a few observations I have made.

In His Name, all the best.
"A few drops of blood renew the whole world, and become for all men that which rennet is for milk, uniting and drawing us into one". "Christ is like leaven for the entire mass, and having made that which was damned one with himself, frees the whole from damnation".

Reading this site I was taken back by how they said they came in contact with spirits...

The next day my new sister-in-law, S., who had been at the party, called and expressed curiosity about the "little board". She asked me to get it out and see if we could make it move without pushing it. I pinned a large sheet of paper on the table and she sat down and placed her fingers on the planchette. In a few seconds she was in a deep trance! We saw she was unconscious and were thoroughly scared, but almost immediately the pencil commenced to write messages from my mother's people, about whom S. knew nothing at all.

After about ten minutes, to our immense relief, she regained consciousness, and was astonished to see what she had written. We realised we were in touch with those we loved in the Spirit World and were delighted; no thought of danger crossed our minds.

That gives me great pause.  Me personally, I don't like to play with stuff like this...not at all.

Me neither, I have never used this form you write of and recommend staying clear of such, it is certainly not to be played with - nor anything to do with spirits should be played with. What God gives in His Love should be treated with absolute sacredness or else it is best left alone as only harm will come without such an attitude.

I have witnessed and grown accustomed to the main form of the delivery of the messages, the fluent deep trance. But it is the content of the messages which are important to me. They are here, arrived, coherent, profound, written in ink. The delivery is made - that is what is of importance to me personally.

People can take or leave them, I personally have come to the conclusion after years of questioning and study, they are true, they are from who they say they are from, and they are God-ordained in the Name of Christ. But that is just my opinion and I don't expect others to share it – I just want to say that what I have found brings more explanation as to God's purpose to me than I have seen or heard elsewhere.

Certainly, it is not for everyone, well not in today's climate anyway, it is not for me to say why. I have been through all the objections over the years and am left with Christ as my Saviour regardless, and so much bigger than I could possibly imagine – Christ the One Who never lets go, Who seeks for the lost sheep until it is found, Who calls for others to work for Him in dens of iniquity where they must fight battles for Him against souls fallen so far that they no longer remember where they came from or to Whom they belong – choosing that, to serve Him, instead of choosing to reside in what many consider their right, the Summerland of apparent beauty, which they think is heaven but which really is just temptation - in my opinion...

I have sought prayerfully and have found my answers with faith and trust in God and to me Christ is God. Others have their own questions and may need their own answers. I would say, in my personal opinion, that God's plan of Redemption, the saving of all men, is achieved no other way - I had to know, I knocked at the Door. That is my story – me, my God, I have found the God in Christ, and oh, how little I have seen and how much more there is to see, thank God He has created an Aeon of aeons in which to see it... and beyond
"A few drops of blood renew the whole world, and become for all men that which rennet is for milk, uniting and drawing us into one". "Christ is like leaven for the entire mass, and having made that which was damned one with himself, frees the whole from damnation".

This is not Christian stuff and you people should stay away from all this. God forbids communication with the dead and for good reason. Once a person dies, that person's spirit crosses over and cannot come back. The so-called spirits of the dead are evil spirits (fallen angels) posing as family members, friends or acquitances to deceive people. Some people have been attacked or possessed when they were playing with a Ouija board. Reallly, stay away from that stuff. Also, God recently gave me a warning in the form of a dream. If you know what's good for you, you'll stay away from the so-called "good" spirits called the ascended masters. One of them calls himself Sonanda and is posing as Jesus Christ (the new-agers call that false Christ: "the cosmic Christ"). From what I've gathered in that dream/warning, there are at least two dozens of them. The most dangerous and powerful ones are Sonanda and Metatron. They probably are superior in rank. That's all I could gather from that dream warning that God sent me. And I will never stress this enough, THEY ARE EVIL. Just stay away from the new-agers and their doctrines...

23Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.

24For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

25Behold, I have told you before.

26Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not.

27For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Just making sure folks are aware of that, that the theme is sort of running through 2 different threads.  I might look at combining some things if it gets too confusing.

My friends, this is all predictable objection, the fact remains, he who seeks not shall not find... this has nothing to do with "ascended masters" or "channeling". When all the objectors who have not taken much time to see what is on offer look into the Eyes of Christ and see His understanding Face, and see what was so close to His Heart which they rejected or even criticized, it is at that time that regret is known for what regret is... I would say take care! I would beg it...

I'd like to see if I can clarify;

IF I'M UNDERSTANDING CORRECTLY, AJ presented some information about people sensing spirit beings, some of which were good, some "bad" or at least "stuck", and how one can both communicate with them and work on delivering them.

Then Shawn and others objected, specifically Shawn saying "..I don't like to play with stuff like this...not at all".

Then lastpost, you state the following;  "Me neither, I have never used this form you write of and recommend staying clear of such, it is certainly not to be played with - nor anything to do with spirits should be played with. What God gives in His Love should be treated with absolute sacredness or else it is best left alone as only harm will come without such an attitude.

And then in the other thread related to this ("what is spirit") we got off into angels.

I'm personally a little confused, and I think it's what micah was asking in the other thread ("what is spirit");

What exactly is being presented, and what exactly is being recommended as "from the Lord"?  I'd like to make sure we're directly addressing the issues - in brotherly kindness, as Paul said, "preferring one another".  Thanks, James.

Hi friend,

Oh my, this is a subject which has taken the last 20 years of my life on a daily basis, and years before that. An internet board is not going to sort it out.

Perhaps it was the word "play" that was being referred to... I said one should not "play" with spirit communication – it is a serious thing, and Christ is the safe Door... another subject too large to go into. I didn't want to quote the word "play" or "playing" because I felt it might be seen as picking on someone who is obviously sincere. Ah, I'd forgotten the difficulties of news group posting, it's been years since I did so because I found it takes up ones whole life, and there's other things in life to do for Christ than swap biblical quotes, a whole host of which I could have done already but have refrained from doing as I'm sure time could be better served than spending it all debating with people who already have experienced something of Divine Love and who have committed themselves to following Jesus the Christ in their way, with heart and mind.

At present I'm spending 5 hours a night on this subject and it will probably take up the rest of the year, so please forgive me if I seem to disappear at times and don't appear to be answering problems. I merely could not let the post from AJ go without offering my support in that area of Divine Love.

There is much, much to deal with and I have had to pray every day, I go into a chapel and do it, in order for things to become clear. Sometimes I feel a bitter-sweet sensation that my love and desire to let others know what I have discovered is rejected, but in a tiny measure that only brings me closer to the Master Christ, Who suffers with all His children in a way we do not understand, and I feel inadequate because His sufferings are real sufferings whereas mine are as nothing, indeed I should look on them as joy because they never were suffering, just my physical mind ruling my spiritual mind.

God Bless friend and friends

I don't think most of us approach these kinds of posts with hostility.  But, I do believe when presented with something very foreign, many want clear concise points.  What is it that you believe?  Despite Biblical warnings of being a medium, why do you believe this is of God?  Present it, and allow the Holy Spirit to do what he does.  For me, flowery poetic language just doesn't do it for me.  I need some substance backed by scripture, not just your personal experience.  Can we start there?

Well my friend, the points written above the divider /_/_/_ are written by myself, and clearly those underneath the divider /_/_/_/_ are by others.

"Fundamentalist" is a word referred to sometimes and that does not apply to UR people, but the points concerning the concrete stuff you are perhaps looking for are nevertheless relevant I feel.

You will notice that books are also included. That could be symbolical for not rushing into things!

As I said, I did not intend to get involved in depth at this stage, but would rather wait until the end of the year!

In His Holy Name, my Saviour and King! Regards.

Best Wishes, Tony.

"What exactly is being presented, and what exactly is being recommended as "from the Lord"?  I'd like to make sure we're directly addressing the issues - in brotherly kindness, as Paul said, "preferring one another". Thanks, James."

God very clearly forbids any communication with the dead in the Bible and any kind of mediumnity. It is an abomination in His eyes and a terrible sin. And He has very good reason to forbid such communication. Because when the spirit of a dead person crosses over, it cannot come back. The so-called spirits of the dead that walk around are evil fallen angels posing as family members, friends or acquitances to deceive people. When God forbids something, that's because He has very good reason to do so and it is for the good of His children. It is in their best interests to obey Him. If a so-called Christ allow a human to communicate with the dead, then that so-called Christ goes against the Word of God. The Bible tells us to test the spirits to know if they are of God. If God send an angel to give a message, the angel will give the message and immediately leave. But we are not to contact any spirit, interact or communicate with them and any so-called Christ who goes against the Word of God is not the true Jesus Christ. The true Jesus doesn't contradict the Bible and doesn't allow or encourage something that God consider a terrible sin and an abomination in His eyes. Communication with the dead, psychics, mediumnity, automatic writing, it's all of the devil. God and the Bible are against them. Lastpost, you are being deceived and I recommand renouncing and repentance...

Michelle

"Despite Biblical warnings of being a medium, why do you believe this is of God?"

See, Shawn, and you guys as well 'cause I'm talking to all of you... I can see spirits with my physical eyes. I can see them for a couple of seconds and then they're invisible to me again. I am sensitive to the supernatural and spiritual. Sometimes I can see into the spiritual plane and I have no control over it. It just happens. I've been like that ever since I was a little kid. But when I see spirits, I know that they are malevolent and I don't interact with them. I rebuke them in the name of Jesus Christ. One should never communicate with the spirits because it's wrong and a sin. God forbids mediumnity and communication with the dead and I know it's in my best interests to obey Him in this. I've been under demonic oppression in the past because I've practiced Wicca for three years. Occultism and idolatry and it only made my situation worse. Jesus led me to self-deliverance. I had to renounce all ties with Occultism and idolatry, break those legal grounds and cast those evil spirits out of me. We are supposed to do spiritual warfare, not become friends with the deceptive spirits that walk around. Had I known where it would've led me, I would never have touched that stuff. Believe me. Obey God in this, stay away from that stuff and rebuke the spirits in the name of Jesus...

Whatever those articles say about so-called Christian "Spiritualism", they are secular material and they are not the Holy Bible. I'm certainly not going to read any of them. The Holy Word of God alone stands in this. And tongue speaking and being born again has nothing to do with mediumnity and channeling. It's like Catholics who pray to dead saints instead of Jesus who is the only mediator. That's mediumnity and idolatry. If God says that communication with the dead and mediumnity is an abomination, it's an abomination. And I also know from personal experience that it is extremely dangerous. Can't say I didn't warn you. I'm gonna pray for you and ask Him to bring you to repentance...

God Bless you Michelle, you make me smile. Your heart is full of love, which you try with all your might to make unconditional. You will be a true warrior in Christ's great army once you allow Him to let more Light in and you gain your focus - as the determined loving heart is what matters to God - the theories of man which satisfy, however his mind constructs them, have their place, as can be seen with those whose hearts and minds have been distracted and irrevocably altered from serving the lesser self to following Him, solely because He has drawn them by His raising up on the Cross – these various man-made doctrines, they work... but these theories from man's mind pale into insignificance compared with the unfailing power of a loving heart determined to work in His Name to heal those imprisoned by their own selfishness which harms not only their own soul but those they influence - and this healing of souls in turn brings Him joy because He suffers while His children suffer because He is Love Itself – He needs His children's hearts, unfailingly giving out love, driven by love for Him, by the metal nailed into His Hands and Feet, the Gracious One. My best thoughts with you and other of His followers.

From what I've seen here, Michelle, no one's going to call you a traitor; a lot of people know what it's like to be branded a heretic and have experienced the divisions that differences of opinion on UR (and other things) can bring. I've been impressed and humbled by people's attitude here - that those who don't accept UR are not yet ready for that revelation and need our love and prayers.

As for attacks on Gary and arguments against UR on other websites... I think it's been done before...
