i always wondered why this saying bothered me, for three days i pondered, prayed and read scripture.

to and fro i from confusion to simplicity....

my conclusion is Jesus cant be God without the Father, they are ONE.

Jesus is certainly deity, so to say Jesus is divine/deity, is ok with me, but ""Jesus is God"" makes no sense.

the word ""GOD"" is become a stumbling block in babylon.

to Titus, a genuine child according to the common faith: Grace and peace from God, the Father, and Christ Jesus, our Saviour.

for this is ideal and welcome in the sight of our Saviour, God,
4 Who wills that all mankind be saved and come into a realization of the truth.
5 For there is one God, and one Mediator of God and mankind, a Man, Christ Jesus,

2 to Timothy, a child beloved: Grace, mercy, peace, from God, the Father, and Christ Jesus, our Lord

1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, at which we gaze and our hands handle, is concerned with the word of life.
2 And the life was manifested, and we have seen and are testifying and reporting to you the life eonian which was toward the Father and was manifested to us.
3 That which we have seen and heard we are reporting to you also, that you too may be having fellowship with us, and yet this fellowship of ours is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ.

There is NO place i can find Jesus that i do not find the Father.

3 With us will be grace, mercy, peace from God, the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love

1Jo 4:14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son [to be] the Saviour of the world

Tts 1:3 But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour

Tts 1:4 To Titus, [mine] own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, [and] peace, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour.

There is NO way  for me to explain this to a  trinitarian.

:cloud9: Yes, there's two of them.........I heard the Father speak to the Son in me. You know intellectually there's two of them, but to HEAR it, still shakes your heavens and your earth, LOL.....Blessings....

i cant think of God as ""persons""

i cant spererate them.

i believed in the trinity for yrs without question, something happened.

i dont like the word ""god""

god in three persons, spiritually makes no sense yet the trinitarians tell me you can only understand it spiritually???

three persons in one god makes no sense anymore either.

why do i feel joy and contentment in the Lord if i am wrong?

Definitions of God:

noun:   the supernatural being conceived as the perfect and omnipotent and omniscient originator and ruler of the universe; the object of worship in monotheistic religions

Example: "He was a god among men"

God is a deity in theistic and deistic religions and other belief systems, representing either the sole deity in monotheism, or a principal deity in polytheism.[1]

God is most often conceived of as the supernatural creator and overseer of the universe. Theologians have ascribed a variety of attributes to the many different conceptions of God. The most common among these include omniscience, omnipotence, omnipresence, omnibenevolence (perfect goodness), divine simplicity, and eternal and necessary existence. God has also been conceived as being incorporeal, a personal being, the source of all moral obligation, and the "greatest conceivable existent".[1] These attributes were all supported to varying degrees by the early Jewish, Christian and Muslim theologian philosophers, including Maimonides,[2] Augustine of Hippo,[2] and Al-Ghazali,[3] respectively. Many notable medieval philosophers developed arguments for

You aren't wrong.  You are rightly perceiving there is one God and God is one.

20Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

21That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

22And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:

23I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

:cloud9: Amen..........that they may be one, even as WE are one..........just as the Head and our body is one, so two is the Father the Head of His "body", ie. the Lord Jesus Christ. Blessings.....

PS. Chuckt.......just wanted to tell you I didn't realize I was disagreeing with you. I thought you were saying the TWO were ONE, not one is all there is........I normally avoid discussing this.........so carry on.........

Well, there's no place that you can find me that you can't find Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, so...

Topics on trinity, twoness, oneness being thought to contradict twoness and triness usually get us in deep crapola on the boards 'cause folks polarize on this rather than being willing to look at the multifaceted wisdom of God in His chosen ways of expressing Himself chapter by chapter or from book to book in the Bible.  I've seen oneness articles posted on here that made me deny my heritage 'cause they were deliberately spun in such a way to where I was like "okay, after reviewing something that made oneness look particularly ugly, I guess I'm Trinitarian now;-)"  Just enough attitude and spirit of controversy in the way it was presented to where my tendency was to rebell and go the other way, even into suddenly sticking by a dogma I wouldn't have cared about or for 15 seconds ago.  This is just one of those topics where we get buried alive in bird crap.  And I'm not saying these things in relation to what's already been posted on this thread, but in relation to the dozen topics of this nature that are locked up around the boards 'cause what could have genuinely edified turned into this verses that, and early Church creeds that aren't thorough enough to prove, by themselves, without many more writings of the time period, what was believed back then.
