Hello everyone i go by the name of newlove
I have struggled with common stumbling blocks
wanting to advance in christ and not always convincedof my progress. Indeed hell and its threat hasbeen a chief problem.
Another being the damage done to our
sense of worth principally by my earthly father.
The notion of being loved
doesn t come easy and i know i m far from aline in thisso fear of an angry god
has been a great brake i feel.
That is why i get inspired by pastor
Robert Bell s view and
discovering that lead me
here and wow is this place
refreshing. I am joyful at
the promise of a living gospel
being restored and feel great
Now.
All the same i would be very interested to know

Hi newlove! welcome to the tent. Many people do not know God,nor Jesus..and have been misled by traditions and teachings of
men/demons[satan transforms himself to a messenger/angel of light] If He and the Holy spirit do not guide us,we mess up......
.....the scriptures are like a book sealed..and Jesus opens the seals on the Word..and the helper also assists us.
..if He is not teaching men..and men do not know much about God..then they are at the mercy of other men and any truth/error
they may think they know[think Jim Jones as teacher to the people who did not know God/Christ..and they both falling in a ditch]
satan also calls men to the ministry..to compete/decieve etc the TRUE gospel.
seven sons of Sceva attempted to cast demons out of a man.....Jesus said many would come in His name[name of Christ] and
satan does lying signs and miricles to mislead those who listen to his perverted gospel.
away from me you evildoers[he who does not gather with me[all men into Christ in truth/love] scatters. Jesus come to break up
the evil works of the devil..and the perverted gospel scatters men! satan from the beginning twists the meaning and intent of God's word
to men..with the purpose of the lier and mankiller from the beginning being testified to as evil.
..........
Welcome to the tent newlove. Great user name and we are glad to have you here.
Hi! what a great name! Welcome to tentmaker forum!
Matthew 7:22,23
Many will be declaring to Me in that day, 'Lord! Lord! Was it not in Your name that we prophesy, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name do many powerful deeds?' And then shall I be avowing to them that 'I never knew you! Depart from Me, workers of lawlessness!'
I believe this is like Matthew 25:31-36 and is not final, nor the White Throne Judgment which occurs after the 1000 year millennial and after the 2nd resurrection (which as we know is of all those not (yet) saved)..
When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats:And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was hungry, and you gave me meat: I was thirsty, and you gave me drink: I was a stranger, and you took me in..
And like Revelation 19, which is about the two harvests at Jesus' return.. there's the gathering to Armageddon, and there's the gathering 'into His barn'-the first resurrection at His return including the believers which are alive at His return will rise "to meet Him" at His coming (then His feet, i believe, touch down on the Mt of Olives-Zech 14:4; "and so shall we ever be with the Lord", 1 thess 4)
And like the parable of the wheat and tares, the husbandman is the Father who says let the tares grow with the wheat lest by pulling up the tares you pull up the wheat, but both will be harvested at the end of the age, the tares gathered to be burned (upon earth - He comes with fire and angels, 2 thes 1:7,8) but gather the wheat into my barn..
...part of the culmination of the ages.. 'end' of the story (of this present world) if you will, but all who perish in the falling apart of man's world, will be resurrected.. and all those not yet saved, but rise in their sins, we know will be reconciled to God for He will be "all in all".
Jesus said "If I be lifted up form the earth I will draw all to me" John 12:32.
1 Tim 4:10 "God is the savior of all.."
Ps 22:27 "all the ends of the earth shall remember and return to the LORD, And all the families of the nations shall bow down before Him." ...etc...
God bless! I know you will love here!

Matthew 7:21-23Easy-to-Read Version (ERV)
21 "Not everyone who calls me Lord will enter God's kingdom. The only people who will enter are those who do what my Father in heaven wants. 22 On that last Day many will call me Lord. They will say, 'Lord, Lord, by the power of your name we spoke for God. And by your name we forced out demons and did many miracles.' 23 Then I will tell those people clearly, 'Get away from me, you people who do wrong. I never knew you.'
You ask , just as I asked the HOLY SPIRIT to teach me the TRUTH so I could be set free from the false prophets and liars
I was shown the 2 thives on the cross one who said if your Christ get me off of here and yourself also , funny thing is that one is never mentioned again and the other one who said I am worthy of death because of my sins , but you are INNOCENT and have done no wrong to deserve death and remember me when you come into your Kingdom , JESUS SAID TODAY YOU WILL BE WITH ME IN PARADISE
For me this is the two mindsets of humanity , when Jesus said take up your cross and follow me , He is saying in my opinion , acknowledging our wrongs and how salvation is though JESUS CHRIST , and not of ourselves
those that still glory in the work of their own hands and trying to justify them before God and man are still under the judgment and as you JUDGE so are you judged , the last Day is the LORDS DAY and it is the rest in GOD THOUGH JESUS CHRIST .... you rest from your labours and the works of God follows just like Jesus showed us to do it right in the sight of God , its His glory to reveal it to mankind freeing the minds from the captivity of Babylon , to all the high minded thinking of man glorying in men the things from above and not the things of below
Welcome newlove. Regarding Matthew 7:21-23, not all supernatural manifestations are divine. Satan is most effective by producing counterfeit versions of God's blessings. Orthodox theology seems to be the prime example. I think a heightened discernment of the spirits comes from edification by the holy spirit of God through the inspired written word of God.
Welcome to the Tent, newlove! As for what Jesus the Christ will say to the evildoers, remember that He has them cast into outer darkness, not into Hell. Even if they get cast into the Lake of Fire later, and even though it's the Second Death and sounds rather final, remember that much later, Death and the Grave (Hell in some translations) are both thrown into the LoF. After Death an the Grave are destroyed in the LoF, how can anyone be dead and/or in Hell after that? It would be absurd. Only man's sense of "justice" demands that sort of thing - an eternity in Hell. On the other hand, God's justice was to send His Own Son to die for us. Who could have expected that? But that's is just what He did! Praise God!! :declare:

What people here make of Matthew 7 v22 and23 ?
Dear newlove,
Thank you for your honesty. I am one who is often too eager to try to put into words what cannot be put into words - namely, the Love of God - because His sacrifical Love provides so many answers to so many problems. Christ is real, Christ is not an ecstatic feeling many think is the end and be-all - not in my opinion anyway - to think that is but an earthly temptation.
But please let me have some input to your quote...
In every generation, teachers use the Name of Christ, but having reached the first portal, they have lost the way, they have forgotten the Cross, pushed away His humility, the hardship demonstrated so clearly in His Life, the way of service, how He delighted to give what He had to those who had it not, how He shunned any connection with the well-to-do priests so that man could never associate Him with earthly glory - and He left this Example for all who followed after.
There are those who claim His Name, but they are seeking the material, they want their name to be famous, they want the populace to applaud them, they seek riches and material power - the opposite to Jeshua the Christ of God.
Concerning shepherds who falsely lead into an unsafe fold where the enemies amass to devour - I would say pray for these, truly pray for them with meaning, because they are far from Christ, and I believe their suffering will be great. "Bear ye one another's burdens". I believe that I should pray for others even when I feel attacked - one thought of the True Christ is enough for me to feel protected. To pray for the attacker is the true safety. Always praying for oneself, working for oneself, seeking for gifts for oneself, this is loss to oneself, in my opinion. The Way is the Christ Way and that Way alone.
Christ gave humanity a simple Example - to actually pick up ones cross and follow Him - but the Way has been obscured skilfully by the enemies of Christ with clever words and floury language that mesmerise the sheep who should be loved by the shepherd with a sacrificial love.
When one truly wishes to know the deeper love of Christ, it will come, and it will be found to be, in my opinion, a love from which there is no chance of separation. This is because one sees that the love of Christ is truly sacrificial, He never gives up, never, never, never gives up on His child, although His child may fall foul to temptation of earthly glory, vanity and arrogance - the Tender and Loving Shepherd will seek and seek until the wayward child is found.
True Love, Divine Love, Perfect Love - a Love which has always been, and which was manifested in the Man Jesus, yet a Love which never ceased to be with the absence of His physical body - that sacrificial Love is still there in all its power and strength, in all its tenderness and gentleness, in all its unthinkable wondrous beauty, a Love being poured out on His child wherever that child may be. That Love does not need the physical body of Jesus of Nazareth to have its being - rather, the physical body of Jesus the Christ existed because of that Love.
Christ has a yearning Love for each individual - yes, Christ has a universal Love for humanity, but the danger is in thinking that His Love is universal is that He does not Love individually - but that is not so, His Love is uniquely individual, and He gives to each one on a one to one basis, especially for them - it may be a little hard to take in, but after all, we are talking about Him through whom Creation was wrought - His Love is individual and this is the way it is.
Wandering shepherds, seeking the material for themselves instead of being willing to give their life in the place of another, they betray themselves with their own words, in my opinion, so, it is merely figurative for the sake of making a distinction, to say that Jesus does not know the children who use His Name for themselves, use His Name for their earthly gain in one way or another. He certainly knows them, but not in the way they were expecting - there is much working our yet for them to do, they do not approach anywhere near the holy gates but are still earthy, earthbound spirits, as it were.
That is my opinion which I state from the point of view of a sinner who knows the restoring power of remorse, a kind gift from my Master and Friend, who knows me far better than I know myself.
Peace in Action
Rest in Service
Joy in Christ
