Title: Hi, my first time on a forum
Post by: Philibuster on November 21, 2010, 07:30:11 PM
Hi everyone. My name is Phil from the beautiful and cold state of Alaska. A couple months ago was the first time I heard of anyone believing that the savior really will save everyone instead of being a failure as a lifeguard. I have been heading this way for many years and this has been a big breath of fresh air. I've been reading and listening on youtube to everything I can find on this subject and wanted to find others to be able to actually talk with and ask questions about things. Later I want to share more of my life story and how I came to this point. My screen name makes it soung like I talk too much but really I have a hard time just keeping a conversation going. Anyway, enough for now.

Thanks everyone for the welcome. It will take a little bit for me to figure out how everything works here. I guess there are restrictions on me cause I might live under a bridge or something like that.

Thanks everyone for the welcome. It will take a little bit for me to figure out how everything works here. I guess there are restrictions on me cause I might live under a bridge or something like that.

There are few rules here:
- Chats need to be Christian related.  :teaching:
- Just be kind.  :friendstu:
- Trinity and free will almost always cause food fights so the moderators get a bit itchy when those things are discussed. So basicly it's not done. :talkangry:
- Enjoy.  :boogie:

Whitewings, Are you saying the doctrines of the trinity and free will are controversial?  I loved the idea that God cares enough about us to save us whether we llike it or not because it is only out of ignorance that we object to being saved. Jesus said "Father forgive them because they don't know what they are doing". If he forgave them for that it wasn't jut for a little while until they died and then burn them forever after that. I know you understand all this but I love saying it myself. Thanks

There isn't a consensus on these subjects and debating them only causes dissention and not unity, that's why we try not to.
There's already tons of words written in the archives of this forums about these subjects, one only has to search for them to find riches.
I personnally like to read these old threads.

...and some of them also are a good example of why they're limited now.   :mshock:

All on this forum believe Father is in full control and will save 100% of His creation.
Not all agree on how exactly that process works.
Does He guide every of our steps (no free will) or does He just watch (free will) or suomething in between.

About Trinity. Different views on that too. But because such debates cause problems and Trinity being true of false has zero effect on salvation it's decided by the moderator/board owner that such topic may not/very limited be discussed.

OK everyone. Believe me, I'm here to get along. I can't stand argument about things that don't matter like the trinity and a thousand other things that some people love to disagree about. I am just looking for a place to share my heart with people that understand and agree with me on the subject of God reconcilling the world to himself. I hope I can do that here without tip toeing around like on eggshells trying not to have someone start a big argument. I'm sure I can and am just trying to see how to fit in here and enjoy some fellowship with like minded people. I haven't found anyone around me that agrees with me on this subject. I'm not pushy at all but have shared with a few my views and am surprised at the resistance to what to me now seems like common sense. l

The roads on TentMaker are paved with solid rocks :-)
However sometimes we take a little detour on egg-shell-road.

Anyway don't worry to much about what I wrote (nobody does )
It all sounds much more strickt than it really is.
There are a zillion things that can be discussed here. Well a zillion minus 2  :laughing7:
