Greetings everybody,
My name is Samuel, and I am an undergraduate computer science student at NC State University. I was raised in a Christian family with a Charismatic background. At an early age I read much writing by Rhema Ministries, founded by Kenneth Hagin. My family and I attended a Charismatic church until I was about thirteen years old. At that time, my grandparents started needing a lot of our help, and we often spent the weekends with them, so we were out of church for about six years. Well, a couple of years ago, we started going to an Emergent church. I kind of misunderstood what the minister was saying and thought he was promoting Universalism (whereas what he was really suggesting was a kind of agnostic approach to the afterlife). The minister of the church is a very open-minded sort of guy who likes for people to talk to him about their own beliefs. I wanted to talk to him about matters of salvation and human destiny, but I thought it would be nice to first do some research on Universalism and how its adherents tried to substantiate it with Scripture. What I was expecting to find was a few verses yanked way out of context, but much to my surprise, I began to see for the first time that a serious Biblical case could be made for the teaching that Jesus Christ would reconcile all things to Him through His death and resurrection. I read writings and videos on several websites including Tentmaker, Kingdom Bible Studies by J. Preston Eby, growthingod.org.uk, and God's Plan for All by David and Zoe Sulem. After several months, my studies and meditations on the Scriptures led me to conclude that Jesus Christ is indeed the Savior of all men who will see to it that the curse of Adam's transgression will one day be completely eradicated from humanity. The Charismatic, Word-of-Faith background I was raised in has greatly helped me understand God's plan to redeem all mankind because I learned about faith, and how faith calls things that are not done as though they were. Thus, I have a deeper understanding of the faith of God, and how God declares Jesus the Savior of the world even though salvation has not become a manifested reality for all men at the present time. Knowing that Jesus Christ will draw all men unto Him causes me to see both God and the world very differently than I used to. I look forward to being in communication with you guys on this forum and hearing about the impact which the Victorious Gospel has had on your own lives.

I was just thinking this morning that ET is such a trap.
Those who are caught in it can only escape by the Father's drawing them.

I was just looking around for something to start writing real names on and I found a program from a concert that I attended on May 4th at Wayzata High School Auditorium. The ironic thing about this program is that the guest musician that night was a man named Charles Lazarus. He makes cameo appearances for good causes but he is a top rate trumpet player. His fingers are so fast that they look like a blur. Dennis do you play the trumpet by chance?
