I have been lurking around these boards for a long time, figured it was time to say hello. I came to Tentmaker, while searching the internet on my quest to find truth. I have not found truth yet, but hope that someday I can boldly proclaim the love of a father for his lost children as lovingly and confidently as all of you do. Keep me in your prayers, God knows I need them.

Hey T.S.  I'm a new guy on here, just posted as "New Guy to UR, Just Left Denomination, Yikes!".  Some folks are giving me some really good input already on my first post that may help you as well if you'd like to read it.  I'd just like to say to you that my life has been filled with doubt about things spiritual for almost all my life, either doubting forgiveness, my salvation, my ability to measure up (which I'm realizing is true and that's actually a good thing).  I've even doubted things to the point I'd rather not go there.  Although God's been showing me a lot of new things (new for me) this past year, it's certainly not been without its trials, and now new questions on my part, i.e., is this right or am I off on some tangent.  The journey goes on, the questions continue...but T.S., it occurs to me, maybe that's not a bad thing...maybe not for you either...sometimes what we think is "things being messed up" is really God showing, working, breaking so He can remake...maybe even though you don't realize sometimes, God really is doing a work in your life, showing you, testing you (torment=basanimos=testing as testing [the purity] of gold)...that typically involves "fire".  In all this, however T.S., I personally have to keep going back to a "bottom line", and that is "Jesus Christ, died for my sins, resurrected for my life, saving and redeeming me and won't let me go".  Ask Him for faith to trust Him, ask Him to save and forgive you, then trust...trust, that He knows what He's doing...we don't always, but then we don't have to...because He does and He knows exactly what to do with us, despite ourselves...He knows our every thought...and loves us anyway.  God's blessing, stay in touch.  James.

There is not a person on here that has not "felt' the "fear" factor.  It is
human nature, but He gives us of Himself that we might replace that
with FAITH. 

Fill yourself with the Word!  and WALK in the light He gives, as you walk
in it, He will give more. 

I don't know how many times it is in the Bible, "Fear thou not." Jesus understands
this aspect of our flesh,.  There is nothing good in the flesh, so don't expect it
ever, from yours or anyone elses, ha.......but do expect from the Lord!  Open
your mouth wide, and I will fill it, He says.  FEAR thou not, put ye ON Christ,
speak His Words, and you will find that as you speak His Words, you are loosing
something in your mind as well.

I would imagine after you spend some time here, you'll probably need to change your user name since the Father of lights is the One who delivers from torment.  I've been in the torment chamber.  Didn't like it one bit.  Thought I'd never be released.  But I thought wrong!

Add mine in with the rest of them. God is in the fear removing business and I have found that with the fear also goes the torment. Good times ahead.....
