Socrates taught Plato.  Plato taught Aristotle.  Aristotle tutored the son of Philip of Macedon.  This boy grew up to become Alexander the Great, largely by slaughtering a lot of people.  That's philosophy.

Jesus spoke the Truth.  He blessed the poor.  He healed the sick.  He even raised the dead.  He died on a cross for us, lived again, and came back long enough to tell us to love one another.  That's religion.

I found the website by simply searching for sites that teach universalism. When I began to study it I was amazed and how many scriptures back this up. I am still learning tho. I admit it is hard to get "tradition" out of my mind when studying.

I'm right there with you. I'm still relatively new to this doctrine, and it is amazing what I have learned after become open to this marvelous truth. I agree that it is tough to completely get rid of tradition, since I was raised Catholic in a family that has always been pretty involved in the church. My family realizes my beliefs are changing a lot and are alright with it, but they are a little baffled at my reluctance to go to church. I still have those moments where the old Catholic thoughts kick in, even though I subconsciously questioned many Catholic teaching since I was very young. Welcome aboard!
