Title: Hello Tentmaker
Post by: Christus Victor on January 01, 2019, 05:32:22 AM
Hello Tentmaker! I'm looking forward to interacting with you and growing and learning in love and faith in God the Father and His Victorious Son Jesus Christ. I've had a long and winding path through institutional religion trying everything from Buddhism, atheism, Mormonism, Catholicism, and Eastern Orthodoxy. I've spent the last 13 or so years searching for the Truth. Every well I've drank from has left me thirsting. I've kept UR in the back of my mind for many years but remained in the institutional religious scene for many reasons which I'll get in to elsewhere on the forum.

God Bless! Christus Victor!

Welcome, and please stay thirsty!  What we all seek for, and are short of satisfaction of in the here-and-now, will only be found at the Resurrection.  It's a long road to that, but worth it.

   Welcome Christus Victor  !!!!!!!!!

Gods mercy on all , whom show mercy  and by the grace of God .....   the undeserving  favor .

Stay thirsty my friend !!   Only the righteousness of God can overcome all things in Christ whom strengthens us .

Matt 5  6Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. 7Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy....

Welcome ..... and from Genesis 1:9

"And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.

The word "land" was added to the translation, if we read it without that added word,
"And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry appear: and it was so."

what you experienced in finding that the wells you drank from left you thirsty; that they were "dry" is living these words in Genesis. God revealed the "dry" to you.

I do not want to take away from the fact that Genesis chapter one can be understood literally, just that it can also be understood spiritually.

Blessings
