Hi everyone, I'm so glad that I found this wonderful community here at Tentmaker. I found CU after bad abuse by my roommate at a Christian university last semester. She told me that I had to give up everything I loved, even my love for my family, to give my heart to Jesus, which I had already given. She terrorized me with descriptions of how the world would end in two months, and about the Rapture and tribulation. I have a severe anxiety disorder, so this made me have a panic attack and cry because I was so scared. I began questioning my religion, then becoming terrified that if I questioned God would send me to hell. It got so bad, because most of my college professors and others believed the hell doctrine, and I had to transfer. A while later, I stumbled on one of Gary's videos: "So you believe in Universal Salvation-Now What?"

It completely changed my life, and I devoured more videos, so sweet after months of terror, depression and spiritual terrorism. I am so happy and joyful to be here, and I can see God working through Gary as he spreads the Victorious Gospel. I'm so grateful for Tentmaker Ministries!  :dsunny: :HeartThrob:

Welcome Daisy! May you be blessed in your ongoing search for truth, and the revelation of Christ within!  :dsunny:

PS - the world is still here, so hopefully your old roommate is not sitting at the top of the Mount of Olives looking at their watch...  :laughing7:

Welcome!

I have found this to be a wonderful place. I came here, not believing in UR, but having heard about it, it sounded 'like the God I knew'. I have a friend that was a UR believer, who helped guide me. I have since come to believe that UR is the true Gospel, and am still very much learning.

I look forward to talking with you.

Glad you are here and free of that oppressive experience! God seems to use those experiences to draw us to Him though, so paradoxically it seems like it was a good thing after all, because you found the truth of His plan!

Many of us have had similar experiences to you, periods of darkness, anxiety, fear, before God revealed universal salvation to us in his mercy (this was my experience too).

I look forward to hearing more from you!

Oh dear! "spiritual terrorism" :mshock: What a perfect description!! I never thought of that.. but you know what.. that is very true and it fits.. the hell gospel terrorizes christians and non christians alike.. I get so tired of hearing (online) folks preaching hell... :sigh: (In my opinion, it pushes folks away from Him). But "God is love" and "Love NEVER fails"! I first read that here, and now I love to use it as often as I can!

Welcome dear to tentmaker and tentmaker forum and group. God bless you!! :hiya:

"God is the savior of all.." 1 Tim 4:10
"Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess Jesus is Lord" Romans 14:11; Philippians 2:4-6 and one more.. Yep, it's declared in that way at least three times.

WELCOME, DAISY, TO THE BEST SITE ON THE WWW!
Socrates taught Plato.  Plato taught Aristotle.  Aristotle tutored the son of Philip of Macedon.  This boy grew up to become Alexander the Great, largely by slaughtering a lot of people.  That's philosophy.

Jesus spoke the Truth.  He blessed the poor.  He healed the sick.  He even raised the dead.  He died on a cross for us, lived again, and came back long enough to tell us to love one another.  That's religion.

Such a wonderful testimony as to how the true gospel is setting people free from the false ones :o)
