Hey again imperialgal! You sound like a busy lady LOL!! I have two children of my own (ages 4 and 17 months) and take care of two more (1 y/o and 2 1/2 y/o) and that is enough of a challenge lol!

If I made my username like you did I would be taurusgal lol.

Hi again Lormag! Your really busy too by the sound of those ages! My 2 year old boy is into everything at the moment and his little sis is following suit and shes a climber too which dosnt help matters. I know those cars we have them here in nz, i was going to buy one but then ended up with a honda oddessey, i dont drive my 70 much these days as i just dont have the time now! My older sons who are 17,16 nearly 15 and 12 help me out a lot as my partner works away from home on a fishing boat 5 days a week!

Ooooh lucky to have so many older ones to help out, that's for sure! Yep it's busy with 4 little ones lol. And I'm going to be looking to take in 2 more lol I must be crazy...  :wacko2:

I bet NZ is really nice. I come from Nova Scotia, Canada. I also come from a small town, I love it here. We are surrounded by ocean and beaches. (Although there's only about 2 months of the year that we can take advantage of those beaches because it's so darn cold year round LOL!)

Is fishing a big industry where you live? It's the main industry here, there are lots of fisherman around. (And they all walk around in their big rubber boots and drive huge trucks LOL.)

lormarah ( spelt it so wrong last post sorry) wow Canada! My partner often talks about how he would like to go fishing in canada! He leaves from the port of auckland to go fishing, its funny as they were white gumboots on the wharf too and drive utes hehe scruffy unshaven lads some of them haha I have heard that Canada is very very cold, i think its cold here but im sure its nothing compared to where you are! Fishing is one of nzs earnings, most of it gets exported over seas also we have dairy farming and fruit exports.

Yes, I run a home daycare. :)  It's fun some days and completely exhausting others lol. And where I am licensed through a daycare there are many annoying rules and regulations I need to follow too. (For example the menu guidelines are just ridiculous!) But in order to take those who require subsidy I have to stay licensed.

Yep it's pretty chilly up here lol but I am a true snowbird so I'm okay with that. :)

T lol!!!

That may just ensure that my license is taken away, not to mention the possibility of being arrested... but I can't say I've never wanted to... lol

Free tip of the day #1.

Buy a toy they all like. But just one. Tell them that the one that can run the most rounds around the table gets the toy.
One wins. All fall asleep.

Guess I'm not the daycare type :-)

Haha! What would actually happen is crazy screaming fits and likely some hitting and biting too. When I want to wear them out I put on music and we dance til we drop lol. I also have a house that the kitchen/living room/dining room go around in one big circle so they run and run and run around there and wear themselves out too. And sometimes I join them lol! :)

imperialgal I feel you!! My son usually wakes at night still, he has NEVER been a good sleeper. Oftentimes both kids end up in my bed and I have to try and sleep squished between two children b/c of course they both have to sleep beside Mommy... :S

Like last night... ughhh lol. At least hubby is away so there was more room in the bed LOL!

I couldn't see the vid for some reason, it says I can't watch in safety mode, whatever that means.

LOL Shaun the sheep...

Ever watch the imagination movers? That's one of my kids favourites. I like it too, it's a nice change from all the normal cartoony kid stuff.

Here's my fave vid from the Imagination Movers. They are actually really good musicians, I love their music lol! This one is also great for any Hawaiians in the crowd.

(I pretty much know the whole dance too lol! Picture me doing the hula here LOL. I love dancing.)

Haha, yep I do love them more than the Wiggles, that's for sure!

But on occasion we also dance our butts off to the Wiggles too. Here's one I like of the Wiggles (You Make Me Feel Like Dancing):

Or this one (The Shimmy Shake):

I could post vids for days lol but I won't. :) Our morning routine is to groove out to songs like this hahaha. (I'm sure my neighbors think I'm nuts LOL!!)

lol i like to use the word COLOURFUL!
Title: Re: hello just checking in
Post by: lomarah on June 14, 2012, 01:54:18 PM
Haha colourful is a good word!

And I notice you used the "u" in colourful like we do here in Canada (and Britain). I wonder if the US is the only one who takes the "u" out of words like that? (Kinda random but I totally wonder about that sometimes hahaha.)
