Hi,
I have been lurking for about 10 years on the web page and want to get into some discussions.

Hi,

That's Webster's definition.
I was not trying to be funny. And do you really need to change the font size on every one of your posts?
It's annoying.
No one else does it.
It unfairly draws attention away from the rest of the entries.

Actually, I was talking about the last comment that I put in bold. ( I thought that was cute) But, since I annoy you, don't worry I won't be quoting you anymore. Is there a rule that I can not make my font bigger? What is the problem?
That's Webster's definition.
I did not simply make it up and insert it in there for fun.

Well, I am not everyone else. I think I have the right to choose to make my font the size I want. I can see if it was 24 or 36 point, that is totally out of the way. I don't think you get to tell me what size to make my font, sorry. Unless I have broken a rule I will leave it as such. I mean really, what is your problem? :dontknow:

I never made mention that quoting me was annoying, no, it's the font size.
Maybe you should go back and read the chain of events.

You see, that's the funny part!
You say that 24 or 36 is "totally out of the way."
But your font choice is not.
Perhaps, to others it is!
Do you care about the feelings of others Heresy?
I'm not telling you to do anything, HERESY.
I asked you!
Maybe you should go back, again, and read the chain of events.
Of course I do, but I don't plan to be manipulated into changing my 'font' size. This has nothing to do with feelings and more like something else going on, seriously, it is just a font. What really is the issue? You have totally come at me the wrong way and somehow expect me to jump to appease you. Honestly, you are out of line. No, I am not changing my font unless I am forced to. Maybe you need to report me for using a large font and then perhaps you can get your way.
What's got this interaction off on the wrong foot? I've been watching this today, and honestly, I think there's been some sort of misunderstanding.
I am not sure, I was minding my own business and trying to be friendly. Apparently my font size is too big and I should change it.
No one is trying to manipulate you, Heresy.
I was a simple request.
Well, let's try to keep from having to cut this baby in half then.
I guess BServ has a right to mention a font size and make a request. It's not the first time someone's posting style was annoying to another member and a request was made for it to be altered.
On the other hand, I guess TBH has the right to use a slightly unusual font size, as long as it's not something so extreme that it damages the boards somehow, uses up too much space, etc.
So why don't we sort of start over here. As long as someone's not continually breaking forum guidelines and/or specific requests/requirements made to them by the mods/admin, maybe we can either cut each other some slack, or just simply ignore another's posts if they are personally unpalatable somehow.
Seems like there are more important things to talk about. :2c:
Oh, and I don't think I said "welcome", TBH. Welcome.

Hi Beloved Servant,
I don't mean to interfeer but where is the large font? :dontknow:
I have looked at every post in this thread and I don't see any large font except what you wrote above. Beautiful Heresy's post doesn't look bolded but I don't see any words that are large, unless someone has changed it. Are you sure it isn't your font size that has been changed somehow on your computer? I thought maybe this large font was something you could see that others couldn't?
CHB
Hi CHB,
Every single Heresy post has the font enlarged.
Ask her yourself if you do not believe me.

Hi Beloved, then why can't I see it? Or are you talking about attitude and not letters and am I missing the whole point?
CHB
Hi CHB,
The actual size of the letters, nothing else.
Why you don't see it I do not know.
:cloud9: I don't see it, either.... :dontknow:
Well, that is just weird. :dontknow: Are you in viewing this website in "compatibility view"?
CHB
:cloud9: If you're talking to me, I have to hit the button to keep the type from "jumping"....
Sorry Cardinal, I was asking Beloved Servant if he was in compatibility mode.
Hi CHB,
I don't know what that mode is, there may be a button for it somewhere but I never used it.
I'm on a MAC using Firefox.
Never had any problems viewing the forum like so many else report.
There is one thing, though, that I recently noticed.
The time stamp for forum posts is incorrect.
Also, the forum is sometimes slow to update.

Hi Beloved, I have noticed these things also. Also when I type in the reply box the font is really small. If you look at the very top where the address of Tentmaker is, in the search box, the next thing out from it is the compatibility button, it looks like a torn piece of paper in it. Just point your cursor over it and it will tell you what it does. Try viewing the post in that and see what happens, it cleared up a couple of things for me.
CHB
My font is on "12pt", how is that overly large? :sigh:
Hi CHB,
My browser view looks like the attached picture.
Firefox does not show a "torn paper" button.
Font size--Testing... Size 10.. _Ok, this is the 'norm' point which is 10pt..I am using 12 pt....Still not seeing the problem?... Either way, I will go back down to 10 pts if that makes others feel better.
God bless...
Hi Beloved,
I don't see the compatibility button on yours. Right click somewhere at the top of the page you just showed me and if you have compatibility mode it will appear in the box that comes up. You may not have this function, I am not sure. I didn't see it anywhere.
The Beautiful Heresy,
I don't think the problem is your font. I, nor Cardinal saw a problem. I wonder if anyone else can see what Beloved sees? This is really weird.
CHB
Ok. I am going to use 12 pt and see what happens.
I don't see a difference when I type in the reply box.
Beloved, how does my font look to you?
CHB
BIG FONT IN ALL CAPS
Hi CHB,
The font size in replies 36 and 37 look exactly the same on my browser.
And, lol, MAC computers don't have a right-click mouse like PCs.

TBH uses a 20% larger font size than the forum standard.
It looks 20% larger in FireFox, IE and Chrome.
Maybe it looks extra large on an Mac?
