Title: hello from South Jersey
Post by: TurtleJoy on February 21, 2014, 03:28:19 PM
Hello everyone, my name is Adam and I'm 33 years old. I reside in South Jersey USA and I found this Web communityfrom a lpost on another forum. I come from a Sufi background and believe like this site that all souls will return to Allah. I see many great parallels in Christian and Islam including universal reconciliation and look forward to learning and sharing with you.
Peace be with you.

Peace unto you,TJ.  May the God of all peace lead all men to walk in His spirit.   He has said; 'My house

shall be a houseof prayer for all nations......   Jesus   drove out those who turned his Father's house

into a den of theives..there have been many that follow with acts of loose conduct  in all religions, and

because of these God's truth is spoken ill of.

I have seen many accounts of late where Jesus has been appearing to those of the Islamic faith

and revealing himself to them.  Father says 'I will settle strong disputes between nations"

It is always by His spirit..and through His son Jesus Christ..that reconciliation of all men with their

brothers and reconciliation of all men with our Father in heaven occurs.

     Peace to you.

Hello,
I did not know anything about Sufism. Looked it up on Wikipedia. Always something new to learn.
I hope you learn from members here on this forum, since many have understanding and wisdom.

Regarding Sufism - the poet, Rumi has written wonderful works - Sufis are considered heretical by many in Islam just like Universalists are treated by conservative Christianity.

There is a novel about Rumi called "The Forty Rules of Love" - it is a good read.

I have encountered many many 'Christians' who would benefit greatly from reading Rumi's 'Masnavi'  - it is very biblical in its ethos.

It is said that the remnants of the early Christians living in Qumran and later, after the Roman destruction of Jerusalem, in the deserts of Arabia became Islamic by a kind of social osmosis. Early Islamic thought bore a strong resemblance to early post diaspora Christianity.

The more I learn and the older I grow, the less I know.  The one certainty is the Creator's love for us all :)

In Him we hav redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trepasses, which He lavished upon us. In all wisdom and insight He made known unto us the mystery of His will, according to His kind intention which He purposed in Him, with a view to an administration suitable to the fulness of times, the gahtering together into one of all things in Christ, whether things on earth or things in heaven. (Ephesians 1:7-10)

All things will be gathered into Yeshuah Ha Mashiach, virgin born, only begotten son of YHWH, the one true invisible Almighty God.
