Hi I have been corresponding with Gary and have read some very good articles on your site. Some of it I would like to believe but as they say it "sounds too good to be true".
Hi, Joyce. :welcome:
Do you know what the word "gospel" means? Translated it means "good news" or "nearly too good to be true news." If you think it sounds too good then I think that's the reaction God was hoping for and why He so aptly named it The Gospel.
Welcome Joyce,
The gospel when it is understood often becomes a stumbling block to many just because it seems too good to be true. I remember witnessing to a friend who was a drug addict and always in trouble with the law. I reached out and shared Jesus with him and he said that he just could not believe it. I asked if he meant that Jesus would save him if he believed, but he said that he could believe that. He just could not believe that God would save the "bad" people if they believed. LOL Too funny, but very profound, too.
Hope to get to know you.
John

Hi Joyce. Don't know what your background is, but what I'm finding is it seems those of us who spent years being "churched" with legalism and hell-fire have a harder time fully receiving the good news than do "newcomers". All of our indoctrinating keeps rearing its head, and to me, causes doubts and confusion from time to time...I think it's a process, but be thankful Father has begun to show you. God's blessing.
