Hello everyone,
Sorry I post in the prayer room and I was supposed to post here first. Opps. Anyways, I am 36 years old and been hard of hearing since birth. I almost died as a baby but lived and became part deaf. I was rasied LDS my whole life. And I was obese too. I had a bad childhood I hardly had friends but I love God and what Christ did for us. Of what I learned in the LDS church. When I turned 16, I was over 300 pounds and I was 5 foot 4 inches tall. I was a big girl and depressed. But I had a dream. I am not sure its real but it sure felt like it. Christ visit me because I told him I wasn't worth living, I am ugly, fat and dumb (deaf). Well it seems like I was in heaven and it was soooooooo beautiful. I felt peaceful and loved. It was a amazing feeling. Anyways, he told me I have to stay and learn. He isn't ready for me to come there in heaven. He told me I will have a hard life and he need me to have the children I was suppose to have. I GUESS?? But I was told I can't have kids. Even though how bad I wanted to stay he told me no and not to kill myself because I have to live. Strange right? I told him my life isn't good I am fat no one want to love me. He told me not to worry everything will work in his plans. A year gone by, I had surgery a stomach bypass. Lost tons of weight. And got to much attention it freaks me out. I honestly could not believe how beautiful I became in my 30s. I did had a hard time. I did try to kill myself a few times but guess I had to live. And I did have the two kids. I been through bad relationship, been beat up and name it I've been through alot. But He was right. I had to learn. My life now is wonderful and I thank him for letting me live through this to learn. Yes , life is hard but he know us before we were born. He showed me. He planed us. I am still learning. Because now, after all this I got out of the LDS church in my early 20s, and tried the Christian church but they keep saying I have to repent or I'll still go to hell (forever torment ). I didnt want that. Now I just love reading this website and learning more the truth. And I think that what he wanted for me. Sorry this is long but I love everyone of you guys. I am just full of love and its crazy becauae I would drop everything for HIM and help whoever he wanted me to. Thanks everyone. For reading this!

The life to come is way better, yet we need information which will help us grow, just like kids need lessons to grow.

We are in agreement Ross ! The testing of our faith in God , without this living substance of hope moving within us it is impossible to please HIM

I can see that we learn and grow. But why do I not hate my enemies? Thw ones that hurt me in the past? I seem to still be nice to them. But they always wined back in my life because I care for their well being? I honestly don't know why? I always forgive. And always like to help others.

That's awesome! Jesus is living in you! ..it's a fine line too, though, isn't it.. As it's only logical to keep a certain distance between our self and someone who treats us poorly. Some we can avoid altogether! It's perfectly fine, I think to love some folks from a distance.. keeping them in our prayers..

Yeah. True. But when they start to try to mess up the marriage or your life? I mean I care and want them happy. But it seems ever since I changed people seem to noticed it and come to me. And it really scary. I don't push them away but I tell them the truth. And tell them I just want them happy. But one said he not happy unless he have me. And I said you will be. Give it time. I am trying to be nice... but I honestly don't want it to mess up my marriage. Or my relationship with my family.
People notice changes and ask to start with, but then usually just go back to their own thing.
Very hard with the people next to you- family. Being a silent witness and only answering as they ask is a full-on job.
Hard with the hubby. You doing things with him and for him is a major witness to him of the real you.
I.M.O and advice; Be slow to speak, look into their hearts. They are hungering just like you, but don't yet know what you have got. They will learn as you witness through your acts of love. Will not seem to be easy, but rely on Jesus, He will lead you day by day. This may take weeks, month, even years. In the eternal picture that is only a drop in the ocean.
He loves them just like He loves you, just hasn't told them yet.
Hi Sarah, not been on for a while but wow your testimony was/is amazing thank you so much for sharing. I am so happy your life is much better now. I believe God has some great plans for you, you sound like a wonderful person.

Thanks! Everyone. I know he have plans. I just dont want to hurt anyone. Never wanted to. My husband is a wonderful person. And noticed people are drawn to me. Some want more. And I am not like that... yes I have messed up in the past but. We grow and learn. I love the lord he just always been my hero. And a great role model. And yes I want to be just like him.
