I am 56, live in Perth Western Australia. We have heaps of desert in Australia, so have learnt much about the use and need of water.
This helps me in the analogy of Christ being living water, which is essential in spiritual life.
Have read parts of Jewish history. That has indeed helped to understand the significance of what Christ achieved/did.
After all, the Gentiles are only grafted in to the olive tree, not taking it over.
Romans 9- 11 are useful about that process.
