Hello all,
So glad to have found this site, my name is Martin and I live near Sydney, Australia.
My Universalist convictions are quite recent and I'm only just "coming out of the closet".
I recently joined the most awesome church I've ever been in and I have made good strong connections with many people, but now I am concerned about expressing my Universalist views for fea of damaging the relationships I have just formed.
I would imagine UR churches are scarce, do any of you belong to traditional churches and keep your UR views to yourself?
lots of love
Martin
Welcome, Martin! :friendstu: :gimmefive: :friendstu:
I have mostly lost interest in church attendance, but that's just me. I don't care who knows I'm a Universalist. However, if you find a good church with good people, by all means go there!
Be cautious as a serpent, yet innocent as a dove........welcome to tent :friendstu:
I think it is important to be led by the Spirit. Perhaps at the present God wants you there for the purpose of worship and the grace that spills over into our lives from gathering with believers- perhaps at some point you will find your stand for the salvation of all will interupt that experience. Hard to say but, God will lead you in patience and peace until the way becomes clearer. :o)
Welcome Martin! UR got me the "right boot of fellowship" from most believers I knew at the time, but every situation is different!
I apologize - upon reflection I don't feel as though my greeting above was very constructive.
Sharing UR beliefs really is about being led, I believe, especially when it comes to intimate relationships. There are people I told straight away, and people I waited years to tell. God cares for them, and it is His timing that is important, even if they are going to reject it at first.
Personally I have not gone to a traditional church in many years, as it is difficult to hear the things they attribute to our Father and His Son.
I wish you well and offer up a prayer for wisdom and direction, brother! Sorry again my first post was so casual.
Hi Martin ,
and all here today
:HeartThrob: welcome
The seed is Christ, the planting is of the Lord , only God gives the increase
Matthew 15:13
He replied, "Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by the roots.
I agree with the others , share only when the Spirit is leading
many have spoken out of time and made it harder than it should be
We should only speak to Gods glory and honor in praise
God knows how to reach each and everyone of us
I was not going to say all this , but , :dunno2: .. God bless
