Hi!

recently I been through His fire. I am ruined for this world. there is still much that remains to be removed from me. the phrase "you don't know what you don't know" describes what most of us have come to realize. The Word pulls us. His Spirit speaks to our inner man. And He reveals as He chooses. I am humbled. I didn't really know.

He apprehended me. And now, I am struck by the beauty of His plan. It thoroughly disarms carnal doctrines. The control of the pharisees has been destroyed in me. Every move of men He knows beforehand. He is not surprised. His plan is not frustrated. My fleshly desire for vengence and judgement has been mortified.

I can't change myself. But He has. It was horrible. The pain and suffering were nearly unbearable during the fire. I hated my existence. I was angry with God. I am now broken. He is love. I will never be the same again. I am weak and He is strong.

I personally believe that God planned for Adam and Eve to partake of the fruit from the forbidden tree. It was His plan all along. So much pain. So much confusion and agony. Yet, Paul wrote that our suffering would be insignificant to what lay ahead. Imagine all of our brothers and sisters restored to Him; having the knowledge of good and evil. Knowing the fullness of what it means to be with God. No mere lip service, but knowing He really deserves our devotion and love.

The implications of universal salvation are profound. Now I need to learn how to live this life. The teachings of Paul seem so different and relevant now. So here I am...hi!

Beautiful.  I too have been through that fire, and also know there's more to be burned out of me. Being in God is not escaping the fire, is it?  It's existing and then prospering within it.   God's blessing, and welcome!  James.

thanks to everyone for all your kind comments. the premise of universal redemption sure does answer so many questions. I had clung to all sorts of distortions and explanations to convince myself of the 'rightness' of calvinism. And like putting puzzles together, calvinism just didn't fit; too many extra explanations, guesses, theories, added doctrines were needed. However, the simplicity of universal redemption is sufficient to describe our condition and His plan.

Doesn't it seem coincidental that the Jews wouldn't/couldn't accept the truth concerning gentiles being included into God's family while modern day organized christianity won't/can't accept that every human being ever created will one day be included in God's family? Is that a fair statement?

I am wondering...is it possible that many christians are not able to recieve this foundational doctrine at this time by the will of the Father? Just wondering...

You see, you fit right in. Good questions already. Why don't you start a thread in one of the rooms? Your top statement / question is a very, very interesting one. This is how I see it, it is not so much a coincidence as what it is "human nature" - for some reason it seems that people always want to reject the good and see the bad. Since the beginning people have always tried to decide what is fair and what is not fair. They even try and speak for God (so to say). They 'decide' what they want God to want for all. So yes you made a very good and very fair statement (in my opinion).

In answer to your second question, I think God has been leaving us clues since the beginning and no, I don't think He is hiding it from anyone.

The honour of God is to hide a thing, And the honour of kings to search out a matter. Proverbs 25:2.  Since God is sovereign, IMO, He shows to whom He chooses and when.  I think of Him veiling Israel to the point that Paul said even to this day when the OT was read, they still basically can't "see".  But just as all will one day be shown (as every knee will bow [joyfully proclaim/give thanks] and every tongue confess)...as well as "all Israel shall be saved"...that we'll all finally "get it" (in a good way  :happygrin:).  L.Ray Smith connects having had UR revealed to an individual with them possibly being in the 'chosen' group of believers, and not just the 'called'. :dontknow:.  God's blessing, James.
