hi, im new, making my introductions
during my twenties i tried to be a 'good christian' and was completely overwhelmed by the responsibility of the holiness tradition - that, mixed with the inherent hate of other world religions led me to abandon all religions, and actually come to despise religious people
a friend of mine knew of my struggle, and introduced me to carlton pearsons story, it immediately resonated with me, and ive researched and re-enforced this belief ever since
i am firmly commited to the christian universalist message, and am so thankful for God's love, which, i had despised, because of the skewed message of religion (im right, you're wrong)
other than that, im a huge fan of music, i work as a waiter, and am aggressively pursuing and researching the idea of christian universalism to try and 'save' others from the horrors of traditional organized religion
Welcome Wings...Jesus, Savior of the world...God's blessing, James.
Quote...and am aggressively pursuing and researching the idea of christian universalism to try and 'save' others from the horrors of traditional organized religion
Sounds like a good motivation.
:welcome: to TMF
Blessings
Hi,
Find Thomas Talbott's religion and theology page via either www.google.com (http://www.google.com) or www.search.com (http://www.search.com) and order a copy of his book, "The Inescapable Love of God." If he doesn't personally make it available any more at a discount, then you may need to order it from www.amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com) or from www.abebooks.com (http://www.abebooks.com)
Also, since you mentioned Carlton Pearson, if I may recommend a book that helped him IMMENSELY in discovering these truths of Jesus Christ being the head of every man and of all principality and power, is a book by Harold Lovelace called "Read and Search God's Plan" His website is at www.haroldlovelace.com (http://www.haroldlovelace.com)
Between those two books, you're reasonably well set. The rest is just details and your own meditation time to put it all together in a way that you're best able to communicate it.
Peace
