Hello! I joined this forum back in 2008. Not sure when I drifted away or why or even what my user name was. I do recall I made around 300 posts so I wasn't all that prolific. Anyways this place popped into my head and I logged in to lurk and found out I had to sign up to do so.
I was raised a Christian and have always known my Jesus. I had a spiritual crisis so to speak over the standard hell doctrine, which brought me here over 10 years ago. My walk with the Lord, reading my Bible and praying has slacked off quite a bit. Always the Lord is gently tugging me to get back with the program for my own good. I'm a fairly solitary person by nature so I'm not leading a stereotypical life of sin, I've just become very lazy spiritually.
I'd have to say I'm a universalist. But my faith in it isn't 100%. Meaning I still fear hell to a degree. Fear not really being saved to a degree.
I can see this forum has pretty much fizzled out, like many other forums with this kind of format. I have to wonder why though. Did UR stop becoming a topic of interest or is it just being discussed by more elsewhere or whatever?
Hi VS ,
I would say it is more of a sign of the times kind of problem . for my opinion .
There seems to be a time for every purpose under heaven Ecc 3, maybe refrain ?
I am for one , glad you are here , sorry you did not receive a hardy welcome .

Psalms 13;2-6
HOW LONG MUST I WRESTLE WITH MY THOUGHTS? Andevery day have sorrow in my heart?
How long will my enemy triumph over me?O'Lordmy God?
LOOK ONME AND ANSWER,O'LORD MY GOD....GIVE LIGHT TO MY EYES...or I will sleep in death
my enemy will say...'I have overcome him" andmy foes will rejoice whenI fall
BUT I TRUST IN YOUR UNFAILING LOVE,MY HEART REJOICES IN YOUR SALVATION
I will sing to the LORD A NEW SONG........
:2c: Listen...the'overcome' saints[churches] have darkness for light in them.........
the way toovercome is through faith and the hope and Loveof the Father will not fail..and trusting HIM .
andwhat was done at the cross. Jesus was VICTORIOUS AT THE CROSS OVER ALL THE POWER OF THE ENEMY..HE CAME AND SAVED
ALL MEN..AS PER HIS FATHER"S WILL.IT MATTERS NOT THAT FEW PUT FAITH IN IT..it matters not the people are deceived
by the prince of this world at present. IT IS FREELEY GIVEN OF THE HEART OF THE FATHER..AND NONE CAN?OR WILL BE SNATCHED
FROM HIS HAND.
REV 14aNEW SONG....GOD'S JUDGEMENTS PROCLAIMED-Just as allmen have bore theimageof thecorrupt..so,too,shall allmen
bear the image of the incorrupt. Babylon's false religionof condemnation and eternal destruction andburning of God'schildren in hell-
fire[teachingsof baal] shall fall....the tower o'flies shall fall.the carnal minded men of no understanding[as beasts that perish[corrupt
image] will turn on false religion and expose her hypocrisy[nakedness]and pronounce the same judgement[et on her]
Instead of the peace and joy of the Holy spirit and the Peace God has established throughJesus unto all men...such carnalmen
under the delusionof babylon's'spell' are tormented with thoughtsof hellfire,God's wrathand doom.
WRITE;BLESSED ARE THE DEAD WHO DIE IN THE LORD
yes,Jesus tasted death for every man..and all men who have died..have thus died in the Lord.
REV 19 the roar of a GREAT MULTITUDE IN HEAVEN SHOUTING
HALLELUJAH,SALVATION AND GLORY AND POWER BELONGS TO OUR GOD,FOR TRUE AND JUST ARE HIS JUDGEMENTS
I SAW SATAN FALL LIKE LIGHTENING FROM HEAVEN........
Matt24;27 For as lightening that comes from the east is visible even in the west,so will be the coming of the son of man.
Thanks everyone. I forgot for a while to check back in. I have fond memories of this place. I always like the emoticons it has. I should have realized there was UR stuff going on on FB which I haven't used in ages and should probably get with the program more. I remember some terrific people here from back then, but I don't remember most of their handles. I remember Cardinal and White Wings and Martin who was the admin at the time.
Cardinal and White Wings come back every so often.. :gsmile:
I'm a vagabond also, in that I've always been a bit of a spiritual (Christian) hermit.. studying on my own. I used to feel a bit 'guilty' about that from time to time.. but after hearing about others struggles with the hell myth, I don't feel so bad about it! As a matter of fact, I feel quite happy about it! I consider myself to have my own.. very own inner monastery.. Years ago when I was struggling through some pretty heavy stuff, one day I was sitting under some plum trees which have grape vines growing over them - still my favorite place in our yard, when it seemed as though the Lord let me know for healing I needed more quiet time(s) spent with Him.. and it was like well, what about the 3 natural times of day (of Psalm 17:5, or is it 5:17?) "Morning, noon and at night you shall hear my voice O God.." And then I thought if I consider how those three times of day are throughout the four seasons and you have 7! Lol, I was kind of into formulas for success, happiness, back then. I still am mostly aiming for the third quiet, prayer, reading and study time of day.. As I don't believe in being too legalistic with myself about it. A couple or three years ago I made for myself my own reading schedule, which I stick pretty close to.. Combined the gospels into one story.. to read annually, but it was too repetitive so I split the four gospels - blended, that is, into two 6 month readings.. Put the letters in the order believed written.. I call it an "enter the story schedule" as that's what I was after.. to more 'enter the story'.. get and feel closer to it all.
Acts and Revelation I scheduled as weekly readings (spanning the year).. Psalms is Jan - 1-20; feb-20's; March-30's, etc, until Dec. is 120-150 which conveniently are shorter psalms.. proverbs every few years can be read in a month.. I have to get back into reading the prophets too.. in the order written, which I'm focusing on beginning to be faithful with now.. It's like when I got serious with God and His words (not words of people, and people have lots of words.. myself included, lol) then things - the puzzle of what God is doing seemed to come together.. Knocked my socks right off.. how totally brilliant He is :dsunny: .
I read a book early on in my walk with the Lord, which began 40 years ago, by Andrew Murray called "Abide in Me" I think, (Jn.15) .. Great book!! Got me headed in the right direction. I'm totaly convinced the closer to God's word, the happier, more joyful and more peaceful we are.. Satisfied. And of course that is 100% UR. Said straight out in SO many verses and strongly implied in many more..
God bless! :friendstu:
Welcome back!
