Hi everyone! I'm new here. I found this site through searching about UR and I am so glad I did! It helps to be able to chat with people who have the same beliefs as I do rather than getting told over and over again that I am a heretic and deluded and deceived by the devil. :sigh:
I was wondering if there is anyone in here from NS Canada? It's extremely hard to find any UR believers around here, let me tell you!

Welcome, you can find much fellowship here. One of our moderators, Cardinal, made a point one time, that she believed perhaps that God has us spread out for a purpose. As He begins to bring others in, and uses us to do so, it would make sense that we were strategically placed :bigGrin:. We'll see, in the meantime, enjoy your time here.

That's a really good point James, thanks for the reply. I guess it's just really bad right now because my husband really believes in eternal torment and he and the pastor of our church and his wife are all concerned that I am going to lead my daughter "astray". It's so hard to even talk about with people because they have had ET pounded into them their whole lives and they all think i'm deceived by the devil! It's to the point that I don't even want to mention it to anyone else because I feel so attacked and looked down upon by the ones who know my beliefs. It's like I so badly want to shout and proclaim the good news of God's love but when I try I just get the derision of "Christians". Anyway, didn't mean to have a venting session, it's just nice to talk to people who don't think i'm completely nuts for believing in UR!

Yes, I hear you. There have been times when I just sort of planted seeds, while still being able to say certain things that were on my heart. Such as "Jesus is the Savior of the world, the end of the Lord is full of mercy", and then just let them decide what that means...and I could be like "there, I said it". :laughing7:
A couple of really powerful thoughts for me is, "if ET is true then God created this world and all the people in it, knowing that 95% of them wouldn't be saved in this lifetime", and "what saves people, believing in Jesus as Savior, or believing in God as Eternal Tormenter/that there is a forever burning hell?". The Bible doesn't say "believe in hell and you shall be saved". They're just not thinking straight - yet.
God always has a remnant, of which you are one right now. The good news is, every knee will bow and all the nations will be blessed.

Do you know what I "say" to people about that?
I remind them that Jesus died for "all" ........and if we believe that
HIS death is really the Grace and Truth that comes "after the law"
and we really believe that "He" IS THE NEW COVENANT, and it
does say that He will be given for a Covenant, then we know that
He is the saviour of all men, especially those that "believe." They
KNOW it! already! Unbelievers are waiting to know it. And they
are waiting to show it. I do not believe that 'any' man first gave
to HIM and He recompensed them. I believe it is GRACE all the WAY.
I do not understand His timeline for people, but I believe His
Righteousness is sufficient. His Work is sufficient. His blood is
LIFE. I am so glad I know now.

I'm a fellow Canuck, located in Ontario, but born and raised in Sask.
I know how you feel about feeling alone. I've talked with my wife about this briefly, but she didn't get it right away. So I've basically left it for about a year now. Occasionally she'll ask me something about it, and I'll just explain a little bit. So I have hope she is coming around...
No im in Winnipeg Now but often dream of making my way back to NS.... i was a pastor for 11 years here in Winnipeg before i had to step down due to my views....no what it is like to feel a little alone....

My husband has admitted after we talked about it and I showed him some stuff about the word aion that he can't be 100% sure whether ET is true or UR is true. But he has believed in ET his whole life and he's very hesitant to change his views, which I can understand... But he also hopes that he's wrong and that at the end every knee will bow. :smile: I love that he can say that.
I have a lot of repect for you for stepping down from pastoring Thoughtmocker. Did you get a lot of persecution about your views?

Be patient, my wife was no so hot on the subject either. I started to write down my research and have her proof read it. In less than 6 months she was no longer a E.Ter. I only had her read my research, and asked a few questions. It takes time for the human mind to overcome tradition!
Be patient, print some of the many good articals on the main site and just ask questions. Why (Start small)
