I know we are all well aware of the above scripture, and the ET counterargument, which is that the confession of the Lordship of Christ, is "at gunpoint" as it were, a mere admission of His power and authority over all, by those doomed to the flames of hell. However, it was Christ Himself who said:
"But why do you call Me 'Lord, Lord,' and not do the things which I say?" (Luke 6:46)
In other words, there is no relevance to a confession of Lordship without obedience! There is nothing that would glorify or satisfy Christ in a gunpoint confession, any more than He was satisfied with lip service when He uttered those words above.
There is also more than a hint of irony that a religious system which specializes in lip service would believe that the Lord would be well pleased with the same.

Love out of fear is indeed not true love.
Perfect love casts out ALL fear.
I.M.O if still in fear/dread of the future do not really completely understand YET the provision and plan laid out for mankind.

TO me, partial understanding,or seeing through a glass darkly..is mixed with fear..fear that it somehow depends upon you
measuring up..
that you might fall short and miss out on eternal life..that the salvation of all mankind somehow depends on you/fear of failure

The minds of men have lowered the law of God to something they have to obey (complete) rather than seeing it as something the Father will complete (fulfill) its like understanding the Father's law in the same way we understand the laws of physics, they do what they are designed to do, when Christ said "I will draw all men to me" that is a law that only He can fulfill.
When the Father said "I desire all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth" that is a spoken law by Him that He will fulfill, and in doing so He fulfills the law
they spoke in the beginning "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness" what an awesome God who declares our end at the beginning.
THE GLORY GOES TO HIM in what He always has accomplished, is accomplishing, and always will accomplish.
