 :Chinscratch: I am curious about  Act 28:1-6  I went to a church service Sunday and the preacher was teaching that this was the devil trying to kill Paul.

Was this the work of the Lord or the adversary? 

I believe it was a witness from the Lord. Thanks

 :cloud9: I believe what the enemy meant for evil, the Lord meant for good. I also believe it's a witness for the day we live in, too. The 5 fold in-part ministry (hand) has to "die", yet it will live again, in fullness in the saviors who will stand upon Mt. Zion.

Tell Herod that fox, that today (1000 yrs) and tomorrow (1000 yrs), I will do cures and cast out devils (2000 yrs/2 days of Pentecost age), but the 3rd day I will be perfected/complete the Head with a body to lay His head/authority on. My  :2c: Blessings....

Acts 28:1 And when they were escaped , then they knew that the island was called Melita.   2 And the barbarous people shewed us no little kindness: for they kindled a fire, and received us every one, because of the present rain, and because of the cold.   3 And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand.   4 And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped * the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live .   5 And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm.   6 Howbeit they looked when he should have swollen , or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while *, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds , and said that he was a god.

 imo the adersary[serpent] meant it for evil..but God meant it for good...the incident which at first would have presented Paul as

a criminal[after all he was prisoner of authorities on ship] was changed to innocence..and not only innocent bu the power of the 'gods'

  with him/for they reckoned him a god.. Paul then healed the chief-official of the islands,Father.
