Title: What would be the state of religion if church was faith centered?
Post by: WhiteWings on March 11, 2009, 06:21:15 PM
I don't have much respect for the history of 'the church'.
Bloodshed. Murder. Crusades and other wars. Running church like money hungry multi-national.
Twisting the message because it makes it easier to manipulate people (as support for the above)
Twisting the UR message to ET because then it was easier to assimilate pagan religions (and therefore becoming pagan itself)
Twisting the message for possibly well meant reasons.

Assume the church had lived original word without any change; without caring about consequences of any kind.
What do you think:
a] Would there be more or less problems in the world?
b] Would there more or less religious people?

If the church was entirely faith centered, there wouldn't be any religion. Religion has always been the enemy of true faith.

There would still be the pagan religions.
And th main question was, and still is, would it made any difference for the history of the mankind?

Quite possibly, on both counts.
