They had this on our local news last night. I really don't have the words to express the numbness that I feel when hearing of such things. It makes me want to go hug my 5-year old twin boys and never let go of them.

There seems to be a huge backlash against this. Hopefully, they have gone too far this time. Don't underestimate a parent protecting their child. The entire Massachusetts State legislature might be replaced in November. I wouldn't be surprised.

I think what you say is true, ie. satan will be raging more at the end, but from scripural context, rev 12 is actually a birds eye view of time. In that view John sees all the way back to the time of Israel, represented as a sun and moon, which represents her sabbath keeping. Satans downfall happens during the time of Jesus Christ, for Christ said 'I beheld Satan falling down as lightening'

I also agree Card, if people don't think things are getting worse then they are burying their heads in the sand or standing in front of a cliff with a blindfold on and saying that if they step over it, that they won't fall splat into the ground, this world becomes more wicked by the day

maybe i'm not panicked by this news as i don't have children but the only thing that will probably happen is that the boys get them and make balloons out of them!
but remember in times long ago young girls had children young because by 25 they would probably be dead. we feel outraged because people are living into their 80s.
this sort of thing is being talked about in the UK aswell. but i don't believe it is time to panic as there is a reason for everything happening and God knows what that is.

Condoms for First Graders? School Board's Decision Sparks Firestorm in Massachusetts

When the school board in Provincetown, Mass., voted unanimously on June 8 to provide free condoms to all students in the district without parental notification, no one in the audience objected.
In fact, no one thought much about it.
The school's health advisory committee, relying on respected studies, worried that children were becoming sexually active at ever younger ages, and it believed protection was the best policy. The proposal had been on the agenda for weeks, and it had been discussed in open session and on local cable channels.
No one objected. In fact, no one thought much of it, says Beth Singer, the school superintendent.
Even after passage, she said, she had only one phone call -- from a parent who wanted to know when it would go into effect so she could talk to her kids about it.
But then on Thursday, the world took notice.
A FOX station in Boston ran a story Wednesday night titled "Condoms at School," and that's when Singer said everything changed.
By 2 in the morning, the Massachusetts Family Institute hastily issued a statement saying: "Making condoms available to first graders bullies parents to submit to an agenda that promotes sexual promiscuity to innocent children at their most vulnerable age.
"The Provincetown school committee's decision to force this radical and absurd policy demonstrates the lengths to which some will go to emasculate parents' rights and undermine the notion of encouraging children to delay sexual activity."
Kris Mineau, the Institute's president, called the school board's policy "absurd" and suggested parents file suit to overturn the policy.
Stories in the Boston morning papers and even national media outlets screamed that first graders were going to get condoms on Cape Cod, and calls from as far away as California began pouring in in opposition to the policy, which requires students to request the condoms from the school nurse, who will also provide counseling and information on birth control, including abstinence. The nurse can also deny condoms to students for many reasons, including age.
In Boston, the local radio stations made it the topic of the day.
By noon Gov. Deval Patrick, who is running for re-election against two conservative candidates in November, called to complain about the lack of an age limit and the school's decision not to tell parents about any requests students may make, even though, he admitted, it was a local issue.
Patrick then called the Associated Press to tell them he had expressed "concern about counseling and access being age appropriate, and, for young kids, that parents be involved."
He announced that Singer promised to "walk this back a bit."
At 1:42 the AP ran the story.
At 3 p.m., according to Singer's secretary, the school board offices were facing "shell shock" from the number of people who had called.
At 4 p.m. the school board cracked:
"I guess the biggest thing [generating controversy] is that it's for elementary school kids, but where do we draw the line?" School Committee Chairman Peter Grosso told the Boston Globe. "We're going to revisit it."
He said discussion would likely center around setting a minimum age for eligibility. But he promised that there would be some access for elementary school kids.
Early Thursday morning Singer told Fox that she "knew the policy wouldn't work in every school district around the country, but that in Provincetown it's the correct policy in order to protect kids."
When called late in the day for a final comment on the course of events, her secretary said she was still on the phone and would take a while to call back to talk about the changes.

I don't usually disagree with anything you've posted, however, in this instance I do, that being said you are entitled to your opinion, however even in the times you describe people had children at 16 or 17, not at 6 or 7 (if they were than they were exposed to a sexual predator)
I myself don't have children, however, I agree with Molly, Cardinal and Nathan on this issue, to say that this disgusts and enrages me is a gross understatement, how no one could object to this is incomprehensible and unfathomable, my sympathies extend to people who have children and grandchildren this young who are forced to accept this without their will or consent
Seeing this has made me realize that my decision to not have children may have been the right one after all
Although I don't have children, maybe it's the maternal instinct in me that finds this concept such a vile abomination

Bar mitzvah is not about being a full adult in every sense of the word, ready to marry, go out on your own, earn a living and raise children. The Talmud makes this abundantly clear. In Pirkei Avot, it is said that while 13 is the proper age for fulfillment of the Commandments, 18 is the
proper age for marriage and 20 is the proper age for earning a livelihood. Elsewhere in the Talmud,
the proper age for marriage is said to be 16-24.

Marriage is the acceptable way, and for many years it was the young teen years, 13 being the average. This is understandable in certain perspectives. But there is a limit, and making sex into a childhood game is beyond ludicrous irresponsibility. It is a cause for swift judgement out of Heaven. O' Lord in Heaven, please do not burn your children in your coming wrath against this nation, we who have sat by in idle passivity. Stir up your children to retake the Western World for your glory.
I hate hearing these things. It's so hard for me to believe they actually go on in the world... how are people so... weird??? So okay with things that are so not okay??? This is why I want to homeschool my children and not let them out of the house until they are 18. (Obviously that's not possible or healthy... but boy would I like to...)

We then allowed them to hand out condoms to high schoolers. Now, they are corrupting our little ones and not giving a parent a choice in the matter. They start with something that might seem like an ok thing to some and down the slippery slope it goes.
Satan wants our children and he will stop at nothing to get them. When we sit back on our hands and do nothing these things go on. There should be an everyday non stop picketing of the school. Ads need to be taken out in the local papers. The parents should be protesting every PTA meeting. The parents need to refuse to pass another levy until this is reversed. If none of that works...students leaving in mass from these districts.
What's next? Hey maybe it would be a "good thing" to hand out free clean needles for those first graders who want to shoot heroin as well. As absurd as it sounds this is the direction we are headed. When government thinks they know how to raise your children better than you do...we have a problem.
The government can barely raise themselves! Let alone the future generation!
Sex wouldn't be a problem if chivalry, and chastity wasn't made into sin, while "curiousity", and whoredom are made into virtues!
It sorrows me so much that there seems to be so little good left in the world to triumph over this rot.
Yeah I actually find it difficult these days to find a clean woman, they even begin to look like whores. Its a shame because a lot of these woman could be much prettier if they took care of themselves and respected their bodies. It's difficult too to find men who respect women, does grate on me when men constantly talk about the carnality of it all, I find it cheapens life. :2c:

Two the imaginations evil proceed from the heart for out of it proceedeth good and evil, this is what Jesus said. So I hope you begin to see that God is not the author of evil like this, but rather urges men to repent and raises up prophets to warn the people to turn away from sin.

I'm fairly conservative in my outlook, even although I may detest the ET doctrine, it doesn't mean that I approve or will even condone such depravity and pure wickedness and evil, I may share little in common with fundamentalists, but I'm sure this is one of the rare occasions when I'd be in 100% agreement with them
