This was brought to my attention today as today marks the 9 year anniversary of Reggie White's sudden death. Reggie is kind of a legend here in Wisconsin as he was one of the best defensive players to ever play football and helped lead the Green Bay Packers to two Super Bowls. He was also very outspoken on his Christian beliefs as he was an ordained minister and also made some controversial statements about homosexuality to the Wisconsin State Court. Football is so big here that the date of his death was the same day as the South Pacific tsunami in 2004.

What I just recently learned though is how his faith dramatically changed after he ended his career of football. He began to realize how he was more of a motivational/prosperity speaker rather than teaching sound scripture and also was felt like he was lied to by organized religion and used by other religious leaders because of his status as a football star which is a problem I have with sports evangelism. This is a great video though that details his journey, and I think everyone here can relate to what he went though.
