Genesis 1:

Translations vary a bit on the word humanity. Other words used are man and mankind.
I think we all agree the Bible teaches Adam was created first; during the sixth day of the creation week.
Genesis 2:
(Gen 2:18) And LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone, I will make a help meet for him.
(Gen 2:19) And out of the ground LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every bird of the heavens, and brought them to the man to see what he would call them, and whatever the man called every living creature, that was the name of it.
(Gen 2:20) And the man gave names to all cattle, and to the birds of the heavens, and to every beast of the field, but for man there was not found a help meet for him.
(Gen 2:21) And LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and he slept. And [God] took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in place of it.
(Gen 2:22) And the rib, which LORD God had taken from the man, he made a woman, and brought her to the man.
(Gen 2:23) And the man said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh. She shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
It looks like Eve was created (taken out of Adam) much later than the sixth day.
That for example means God created mankind on the 6th day and 12th day. Could be shorter or could be longer. (yesterday I've read an article tehy were in the Garden for only 40 days)
Does that creation in two phases points to some pattern we see elsewhere in the Bible. I think so but have no idea which pattern that might be.
I read in a Remnant Studies article that man is not made in the image of God, past tense. The bible states this "making" in present tense, meaning this is an ongoing process. Since we certainly are not acting like God most of the time I think they may have a point. They argue that God is doing the work and that the fall, our experience of good and evil, is a step in that process. What do you think?

God doesn't always rest on teh 7th day. Jesus said so when he was caught healing on Sabbath.
But that's not important for this thread. It's usually said mankind was created on the 6th day. God rests on the 7th day. Then women is created no earlier than than 8th day.

I'm fully aware of that Anna. But then why God says in the next chapter Adam felt lonely? Was He refering to an hour after Adam's creation. According to the Jews Adam was created shortly before sunset IIRC. If so there is very little time to create Eve. Unless she was created at night which opens a whole new can of worms.

It's 100% totally new for me too. It's part of an article with lots of calculus. To be honest I've only read teh 40 day paragraph so I can't tell what it's based on.
But Adam was in the promised land (garden) and had to leave. 40 a very special number.

Some thing I think about is that I have not found in the bible
a place where God has instructed a woman to kill and or destroy any one.
I can't recall any mention of women killing others.

our flesh and only nurtures or gives birth to our spirits.

God separated Adam's flesh and made Eve.
when the pieces of flesh come back together they give birth.
To new person now this person has flesh ,soul and spirit.
The spirit is a seed.
The flesh carries the seed of the flesh in the male.
The flesh carries the egg in the female.
Both carries the seed of the spirit.
Is there an egg of the spirit?
