The irony of it

Does anyone else notice an irony in Genesis 2:17 and 2:18

(17)But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die
(18) And the Lord God said, it is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

God gave Adam the command not to eat of the TOKOGAE and then His very next act was to create the very thing that would cause him to eat

we ask or want anyone to compromise their relationship with God..forus.Three strand cord not easily broken.The success andstrength

of relationships must always beGod centered[youknowthat]Corruption and breakdown of love centered relationships result otherwise.

     Thisisan eternalprinciple wewilllive by eternally. By showing us..through our failures and weaknesses..wediscover whereour strengths

      lie.

    Jesus said 'you willleave me all alone...but I am not alone for the Father is with me." He could have assentedwith Peter,surely

notLord..in agreementwith Peter.   Peer pressureis hard to standup against. Job'swife triedhim..his falsecomforter friendsmade

it harder onhim...when he wastried. youwill be hatedby the whole world becauseofme/standingup against the grain of thewhole world

becauseof whatyou have heard from God..the ridicule,mockery,threats,intimidationetc..is a trial.


   BUT...everything...every goodandperfect present we wllever recievecomesfrom Godabove...and it is alwayscentered..and comes

through Him. we can notbuild on anythingother than this....orthe wholefoundation will fallout from under it.

  Eve failed to withstand the serpents influence/deception..Adamfailed towithstand'sEve'sinfluence. Standingintruth while surrounded

bydeceptionand confusion is our strength..being as a little leaven [corruption]leavens the whole lump. :2c:

It is also ironic how many Christians boast of eating from it:

 :gimmefive: Amen! to all of the above... ..ironic too how the serpent's 'promise' (the serpent's word) said to Eve she would "be like God" - knowing good and evil, ultimately, yes.. but God is eternal (/Life), and now they were dying..
            "for the adversary comes to rob and to kill.."
