Assume Jesus was killed at the age of 5.
Would He then have risen from the grave?
Did He rise from the grave because:
a] He was/is the Son of God?
b] Because he let a perfect life?
For me, the resurrection was the purpose. He was perfect because he allowed to walk in that resurrection.
But He died at adult age, after 3.5 years of teaching.
So He fulfilled the purpose of His coming in the most perfect way. I don't deny or question that. Let that be clear.
My question simly is: IF He had died on the age of 5, would He have been resurrected?
Or to put it otherwise: Was He resurrected because He had a perfect life OR because He was Son of God?
Or perhaps a little of both?
I'm answering your second question . . .he didn't resurrect because he was perfect. It's an argumentative question in that one, he "didn't" die at 5, it's just an argument waiting to happen . . .and two, he came and died, but he didn't come "just" to die, he came to bring resurrection life AS the Son of God, but to do so, he had to die. He was the Lamb, there is no other, to ask what would happen if God sent his son in the flesh and he died before the fulfillment of all things . . .it's like saying "what if the world stopped spinning". It's impossible for it to happen in the first place.
And to say that he resurrected because he was perfect, would mean that resurrection life comes by way of works . . .and that isn't accurate either.

Neither. It was because He had the command of His Father, in the Scriptures, to lay His life down and to take it up again (John 10:17-18). And since there was no sin in His life, it took a commandment to lay His life down, otherwise He would have never died. He committed obedience in becoming obedient to death because His Father had told Him to do it. Adam committed disobedience in becoming obedient to death because his Father had not told him to do that. Jesus just lived by faith; the faith that comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. At no other time could death have come into His life because Satan had nothing in Him (John 14:30). Satan has nothing in the New Man either (Romans 13:12; 2Corinthians 5:17; Ephesians 5:8; Ephesians 6:16; James 1:16-17; 1John 1:4-7), but most Christians aren't as diligent to the Scriptures (2Peter 1:1-8), otherwise death wouldn't be able to stand before them all of the days of their lives either (1John 4:17). In the Name of Jesus, it's where I'm heading (Luke 6:40; Colossians 3:17; 1John 2:6).
