Without error; mature; whole; pure; sound; right; correct.
A complete and satisfactory close in harmony
A tense which expresses an act or state completed.
To make perfect; to finish or complete, so as to leave nothing wanting; to give to anything all that is requisite to its nature and kind.
This is the consummation of the Divine embrace as the Author brings everything back into Himself in perfect harmony and at-one-ment as the Finisher.

But each in his own order; Christ the first fruits, after that those who are Christ's at His coming, then comes the end, when He delivers up the kingdom to the God and Father, when He has abolished some rule and some authority and power."

That video was heartwarming. It makes me think of God and, how could anyone say "no thanks" to pure love.
When I look at that video of those boys being overwhelmed by the little bit of God's love that is in colour, it just makes me wonder what is in store for people who have yet to be given any faith and people like me, who haven't been perfected in the sense that Paul uses to say some are (though I don't have any concern for myself). What will they feel?
About six months ago, I thought I loved God so much. But I heard his voice and I was shocked by my response. I was scared. His words were loving and reassuring but my response was as if he were angry at me. Looking back, I think it was because of the evil in me. How can God's face be against someone but at the same time he is looking directly at them with the most amazing love, but I think that's how it is. Love casts out fear, so in perfection you can receive abundantly more of God's love.
Suffering is a difficult aspect of life, I don't get why Jesus was perfected through sufferings and why we are blessed with the overflow of his sufferings. L. Ray Smith made an interesting comment about this, he thought it was possible that even though God is now perfect and perfection can not be changed, but (if I remember correctly) he thought maybe the Father became perfect, also through suffering. The pattern being a reflection of the truth. I mention this because I wonder if it is unavoidable for everyone.
I see the blood of Jesus as a very simple illustration that his blood (life) flows to us, because we were all made in him, we were given life through him. For by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy. All will be perfected and I am sure the euphoria people will experience at the end will be more than we can now comprehend.
Conversely, God seems to look at us now as imperfect, in how he raises up the unwise and the undesirable and uses the foolishness of our preaching, as a figure of what we all are today.
I love scripture, I feel it is the closest physical manifestation of the truth, outside of the love shared by all and any living beings (if that is counted as physical IMO it's spiritual). So maybe everyone's difficulty to read the plain, physical, perfection of the scriptures means the perfection of God is incomprehensible to the imperfect. Understanding has to be given by the perfect one, and for this reason he has blinded us to some very basic and obvious truths (maybe), so it can be revealed to us like how we were made corruptible so we could be perfected. And our slow stumbling into fragments of understanding are tastes of the perfection that waits. Peace to you FineLinen.

Dear Bird: His love & grace is reaching out to enfold us in Himself. Our puny faith must go. It must die with the old man to bring us to His enfolding hilasterion & living by the faith of the Son of God at His Mercy-Seat.
